Today’s topic, “A ‘Get-to’ Heart in a ‘Have-to’ World” is presented by Darla Baerg. Darla holds a Communication Specialist degree from Baylor University and a Masters degree in Communication from the University of North Texas. In addition, she has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University. Before starting her family Darla was the Chief of Staff for a United States Congressman and the Director of Training for a multi-national company. She has been married for 17 years to her husband Bill and they have four children. She is currently speaking, teaching Bible Studies and is an adjunct professor in the Communication Department at Houston Baptist University.

Sunday, October 26th: Worship at 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM. BBQ begins at 11:15 AM (must purchase tickets in advance).
Neighborhood: Canyon Lakes @ Stonegate Special Interests: Former teacher, trying to become a runner (goal is to run a 5k in mid October) As a mom, I couldn’t live without… flip flops - quick off and on to run around. The last time I went to an amusement park… was last summer—Hershey park with the big kids.

MOPS annual costume parade at Ainsley Courte is set for 10:30 am on October 31st. Please arrive in front, 10 minutes before so we can all enter together. Don’t forget a Trick or Treat bag.
Join the CBC anniversary celebration on October 25th, 3-6:00 PM, for a fall family event.
Join with other moms from MOPS for the American Heart Health Walk on November 1st. Contact Brandi Sailors for more information.
You never know when the kids will get sick, so consider Early Voting October 20th thru October 31st. Election Day is November 4th.
The November 21st meeting is the deadline for MOPS shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
“Care”ousel MOPS is helping moms in Galveston in co-operation with the League City Crisis Pregnancy Center. Specific needs are girls clothing (12M thru 4T) and diapers (size 5). Bring donations to the costume parade at Ainsley Courte and watch for e-mails with other ways you can help.
