Ramblings: Visit us on the World Wide Web After what seems like forever, the web site is finally up and running. If you visit us at fumcrosenberg.net you will see a nice site that is just starting. There are pages listing our worship services, our beliefs, showing our staff contacts. There are maps and a whole lot more. We are working on getting pictures of different events up on the site and more. On each page there is the church calendar with the list of upcoming events. We are trying our best to get everything on the calendar, but if you visit the site and notice that something our church is involved in isn’t on the calendar, please contact Debra in the office and we will get it on there. Once you start looking at the calendar you start to realize how much our church is involved in that you probably didn’t know we were doing. One of the things that I have noticed as we were putting the site together is that the more we talked about it the more ideas people had about it. When we started talking about putting the newsletter archives on the site as well as putting the new one there every week, someone said it would be nice to have recordings of the sermons put there as well. And while this may not

have occurred to some people, it is a great idea and one we are working on for a future update (hopefully by the end of the summer). In the next few weeks we will have prayer requests online (you will be able to specify the level of confidentiality in the request). We will have sections for upcoming children, youth, family, and adult events. It will be great. But one area that I am really looking forward to having on the web site is our mission opportunities. Having a place to get information about the Agape shop, Anahuac Comeback, and all the rest will help us be more active in our community. Seeing pictures (and videos) of lives being changed will be a great asset to our church. As you look through the web site you will see little things that aren’t quite polished enough yet. That’s alright, we’re not polished enough for God yet and he still loves us. Do me a favor and shoot me a quick email (the link is on the web page) and let me know what you think needs polishing, what you think we need to add, and what you like about the site (especially that last part). I look forward to seeing you Sunday. IGS, John

June 6: Church Work Day & Agape Shop Saturday, June 6, is our next church-wide work day and the next Agape Shop, postponed from May 30 because of high school graduation ceremonies. We plan to power wash the buildings and clean up the playground area, stain the nursery fence, remove the old red barn...just to name a few things that need to be done. Anyone with a power washer (or backhoe) is urged to come! We will also have a few inside jobs (cleaning, straightening and organiz-

ing closets and Sunday school rooms - in both buildings)! As always, lunch will be provided. We start at 9:00 a.m. “Be there or be square.” The Agape Shop is our “everything’s free garage sale.” It begins at 8 a.m. and closes promptly at noon. We will accept donations Friday night, June 5, in the fellowship hall. Donations also may be dropped off in the fellowship hall on Sundays or in the church office during the week.
