INTRODUCTION The Khor Al Zubair NGL Plant is located approximately 30kms to the south of Basra and currently operated by the South Gas Company. Train -1 and 2 design production capacity is 350MMscf/d for each train. Current production is well below the design capacity. COMPANY requires inspection assessment and rehabilitation of the FACILITIES. CONTRACTOR will define, through Work Orders, the scope of work, followed by engineering, procurement and construction management services to rehabilitate the FACILITIES. The FACILITIES' rehabilitation will be executed in accordance with COMPANY's MASTER PLAN. COMPANY MASTER PLAN shows the requirement to bring Train 2 into full design capacity and thereafter rehabilitate Train 1. COMPANY has identified Priority Works that requires immediate attention. These works should be performed concurrently with Train-2 work. The FACILITIES includes three LPG production units of which one unit is out of operation. Rehabilitation Phase will result in reduced flaring, with the objective of returning assets to operation in a safe manner. Later, rejuvenation will address FACILITIES’ life extension and return to nameplate capacity. Two Contracts have been awarded to CONTRACTOR, one for In-Country Works and the other for Out-of-Country Works.

2.

This responsibility shall also extend to temporary bracing required to ensure safe and stable conditions of partially completed structural assemblies. The structure shall be plumbed, levelled, and braced before any final bolted or welded connections are made.

12.3

Correction of Errors Fit up bolts and drift pins shall not be used to bring improperly fabricated members and parts into place (springing). Drift pins shall not be driven with such a force as to injure adjacent metal areas. When approved by the Contractor, standard holes may be enlarged by 1 mm (1/16 in) when necessary to make connections resulting from minor misfit. Holes in connections that misfit by more than 1 mm (1/16 in) shall be corrected unless otherwise approved. Enlargement of holes shall be made by reaming or drilling only. Flame cutting, burning, gouging, chipping, or drift punching shall not be permitted. No packing, shimming, filling, or wedging shall be permitted to correct faulty work unless otherwise approved by the Contractor.
