Defence Fit
Practical – Self defence course incorporating the ‘best bits’ of many traditional martial arts. This class involves practical sessions at the local self defence academy. Theory – Skills for Life booklet that covers anatomy, body awareness and risk situations behaviour.
COST FOR THIS UNIT IS $120. (money to be paid after class selections are given – parent permission must be given on form)

Sports Coaching Unit
Personal Fitness for Gals
For all students who intend to coach a sports team, this is highly recommended.. Possibility of gaining Level O coaching accreditation

Practical –Weight Training Gym work at Feelgood fitness and Evolution Gym Circuit training, Aerobics, Boxing circuits, Skipping. Theory – Study various methods of fitness training and evaluation of personal fitness program. Using results of fitness testing if completed already.

This semester must be numbered 1 to 8 in order of preference.
Students will complete four units this semester from the choices given. ( Units usually last 5 WEEKS during an average 10 week term). Classes may be single sex or mixed depending on selections made. FITNESS TESTING IS COMPLETED AT THE START OF EACH SEMESTER

Students will complete four units this semester from the choices given. One of these units will be HEALTH ISSUES. FITNESS TESTING IS COMPLETED AT THE START OF EACH SEMESTER ( Units usually last 5 WEEKS during an average 10 week term). During Term 3 there will also be a compulsory2 week unit (Wk 5/6) revolving around Cycle On/Camp Skills to compliment the Year 9 ‘Sustainability’ unit that is conducted.
