CAMP INFO LOCATION

RULES

The District 308B1 Lions YES Camp 2008 will be held at Eagle Ranch Resort, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. The camp site is about one and a half hour’s drive from KL Sentral station.

Camp rules and protocols are applied and must be strictly followed. Smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages, drugs, fighting, destroying of camp properties, vandalism and leaving camp boundary are strictly prohibited. No valuables are to be brought to the camp. Details of retreat rules will be forwarded to the selected applicants upon admission. Anyone who breaks any of the rules will be sent home immediately and the camp fees forfeited.

DURATION

The camp will be held for four (4) days, commencing on 11th December 2008 and concluding on 14th December 2008. COST

The fee is RM300.00 for each participant. All applications must reach the Camp Organizing Secretary not later than Thursday, 27th November 2008. The payment must be made on application and payable to

LANGUAGE

Participants should command a minimum proficiency of the English language. This is the official language of the Camp. TRANSPORT

“LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 308-B1” REFUNDS

No refund will be issued for participants withdrawing from the Camp. A suitable substitute is allowed up to 7 days prior to the camp. SPONSORSHIP

Participants must be sponsored by a Lions, Lioness or Leo Club. SELECTION

The camp caters for up to 120 participants ranging from 14 years to 19 years old. They will be selected on the basis of an even mix of youth of different races, culture and geographical areas. Apply early to ensure successful selection. The decision of the Committee on the selection of participants is final. HEALTH

START OF CAMP : 11TH DECEMBER 2008 Please to be at KL Sentral Station by 8.00am (open car park facing Jalan Tun Sambathan). Buses will leave the station at 8.30 am sharp. END OF CAMP : 14TH DECEMBER 2008 Buses will leave the camp at 2.00pm Please be at KL Sentral Station at 4.00 pm to pick up the participants for home. Parent(s) or guardian(s) participant directly to transport, please ensure informed to the LIONS Secretary.

3 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 6 tea breaks, 3 dinners and 3 light suppers will be provided. Vegetarian food can also be arranged. NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS

Although the weather is usually warm, participants should be prepared for any changes in the weather and bring appropriate clothing for all conditions - i.e. hot, cold, wet.
