Yellow Anaconda
The yellow anaconda is a South American snake with a pattern of dark brown or bluish black blotches with a ground color of yellow or tan. Yellow Anacondas are as long as 10 to 12 feet. They are a close relation to the Green Anaconda. The Yellow Anaconda is a aggressive disposition. Also the Yellow Anaconda is a striking Boa (Not a Water Boa). Yellow Anacondas are found in South America. In South America they are found in North Argentina, Paraguay, Southeastern Bolivia, and Brazil. When yellow Anacondas reproduce the gestation takes approximately 6 months. Yellow Anacondas are viviparous animals. That means that they give birth at a young age. They sexually mature at ages of 3-4 years. They give birth they have from 8-40 liters or babies. They have babies usually in March to July, in the rainy season. They often
give birth in water. The babies are 18 inches long (45cm). Yellow Anacondas hunt on land and in water. They wait until their pray leans in to drink water and then snatch them in. When they strangle they wrap the prey in their outer coat or their constricting. Humans are the Yellow Anacondas Predator. Usually the cat family are predators for the baby anacondas. They eat paca agouti, small mammals, birds, and reptiles, fish, rabbits, heron, caimans, ducks, turtles, and, quail. The Yellow Anaconda is a semi aquatic animal. Yellow Anacondas live in swamps, banks, slow moving streams, rivers, and marshes.
