Le Ministère Social de Jésus-Christ Give ye them to eat ! Donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger! November 30, 2009 Dear Sir/Madam : We represent a non-profit organization called "JC'S SOCIAL MINISTRY". It was founded in December 2004. Please feel free to take a look at our website www.Jcssocialministry.org (It is presently under construction). We give Bible studies mostly in Haiti, a developing country in Latin America. Haiti is also a Creole and French-speaking Caribbean country. Our Bible Studies Representative in Haiti, among other responsibilities, is in charge of recruting students on a monthly basis. Currently, we have a total of 30 students, and for the month of December, we will have 10 additional students. Our next graduation ceremony will be held in February 2010. We also try to help out the needy because we believe it is important to not only teach The Gospel of Jesus-Christ, but also take care of needs. Jesus did say: "You, yourselves, give them something to eat" (Matthew 14:16). This actual verse gave birth to our organization. We believe it is the essence of The Gospel of Jesus-Christ: FEED BOTH SPIRITUALLY AND PHYSICALLY! Upon completion of the studies, we offer the opportunity to start a "small busines" to those interested in becoming financially independent. This also represents a tremendous developmental factor for Haiti reducing thereby the unemployment rate. In addition to the funds or goods, we do provide some training. We are now trying to expand and are looking to rent a place in Haiti (Port-au-Prince) where we can have several activities such as: a medical clinic (affordable to the poor) and also a cafeteria where our students and their family can eat for free or for a small donation (so we can continue to offer this service). One of our representatives in Haiti informed us yesterday that the cost to rent the place for an entire year is US$3,000.00 in lieu of the US$2,080.00 previously mentioned. We also are looking for medical equipment and supplies, an electrical generator, batteries (for an inverter system), office supplies (computers, desks, chairs, filing cabinets, tables and chairs for conference room, tables and chairs for cafeteria, dining sets, cups, silverware, a fax machine, a photocopier, a scanner, etc.) “Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in: Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me. Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we Thee an hungred, and fed Thee? or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in? or naked, and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee? And The King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.” (Matthew 25:34-40)
