CONTROL MEASURES

REMAINING RISK

People may trip on loose cables.

Cast and crew

M

Cables will be taped down so people cannot trip over them.

Tape may come undone.

Food and drink may cause damages.

Cast and crew

L

Food and drink should not be used near equipment.

Food or drink used outside may still damage costumes.

Camera breaks on tripod.

Crew

H

The tripod should be adjusted so the camera cannot fall or break.

The tripod may fall and smash the camera if it is knocked.

First Aid

Cast and crew

H

There should always be a first aider and first aid kit on site.

Flammable Items

Cast and crew

M

Flammable items should be kept safe and away from any recordings.

The first aider may be the injured one, or they may not be prepared.

Flammable items may be used as props.

Electricity

Theft

H

Damaged wires may not be used as they can cause a spark.

Someone on set should always keep an eye on the equipment, and put them in a safe place.

Wires may still spark anyways. Wires may break during filming. There might not always be enough people on set to assign that job.

I have read the above and I am happy that:

● It constitutes a proper and adequate risk assessment in respect of the programme activity and that control measures identified are sufficient to control the risks. ● Adequate measures are in place to communicate the risk assessment findings and to co-ordinate the safety arrangements of all those affected.
