Why are you staring into the sky pt. 2 INTRO: • Last week we talked about how our perspective of the Father determines everything. • We weren’t created to be redeemed • Father taking son into town • Paint Acts Picture o Angels Alarmed:  1. They knew the Father’s heart for this time  2. They knew the potential of the Disciples 1. We Must Understand Who we are ask Kingdom Agents • Lack of holistic Thinking o We’ve only seen apart—elephant o Servants o Lovers, etc. • • •

Revival is not Enough Laborers in the Harvest (Mat 9) Holy Priesthood o Everywhere you go. o Decisions have consequences good and bad o We can put a bad taste Ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) o Statue example. God uses people



o Commission o Yoke Options on a Mike o Decree, petition, etc.

DETERRENTS: Why aren’t we seeing change then? • 1. WE as believers have not seen kingdom living and buildings as our role • 2. We don’t know how to practically use biblical principles to change our cities into places where the will of God flows freely. THREE EXAMPLES OF MOTION: These are all impacted by perspective of who we are and who he is •

1. Acts (ACTS 8:1-5) o They were only fulfilled the commission when they were scattered o Don’t live life on a red-light o We can’t be stuck staring at the sky o Perspective: Everything is fine. We can stay here. o Consequence: We are not discipling nations. o



2. Jepthah (JUDGES 11) o Perspective: We’re going to make this happen without really understanding how God does things o Consequence: We are creating unnecessary byproducts of discipling nations and, though we are seeing success, we are actually sacrificing the next generation by not setting them pu for long term success. o Premature revival



3. Josiah (2 KINGS 22) o Perspective: He let God’s word shape His convictions, motivation and pain

o Fulfillg destinities Imagine a nation…. This is the product of a nation that is discipled by you. This is societal transformation. And now that we have proper perspective on Him and Us, we can accurately enforce it.
