What makes a good magazine feature? A good magazine feature first of all consists of a clear a story line. ‘The Big Eat. Cycling, Sikh Holocaust and the Gaming magazine featured I watched all had a good story line which was clearly understandable. The cooking magazine feature had a good voice over which helped the people watching it understand what was going on. A good magazine feature also meets the target audience well; because the target audience need to fell apart of the magazine feature and need to feel that the magazine feature applies to them as well. Another element a good magazine consists of is the background music if needed. The ‘Sikh Holocaust’ magazine show that was watched, I found that the background music fitted well with the storyline, it was a sad storyline so the music was dramatic. The magazine also have to have the relevant people taking part, so that the target audience are appealed to the magazine show, in the cycling magazine show I watched, the girl who did the magazine show had used the appropriate people where needed, like ‘Mr Weight’ when she needed an interview, ‘Mr Weight looked like an officer who played a good role when an interview was needed. Finally a good magazine show has keeps at a good pace so that the audience don’t get bored. Unfortunately I did see some bad magazine shows, and these magazine shows had a bad impression because ‘The dark side of gaming’ consisted of swearing, the voice over was not very clear and the pace was slow and made the magazine show drag on and bored the audience.
