What Are You Waiting For? Do Something! Joshua 18:3-10 • • •

“How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your forefathers, has given you?” (v. 3) “…make a survey (of the land)…write a description of it…divide into 7 parts….” (vv. 4-5; 8-9) “…and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the Lord.” (vv. 6, 10)

Reflections: 1. God already has a plan for us – what he wants us to do, where He wants us to go – and this plan is promised to be the BEST plan for us. So what are we waiting for? 2. To achieve the plan God has for us, we need to actively do something. 3. After we have done everything that we could do, we must not forget to lay it all up to God. Do what you must, according to God’s will, and leave the rest up to Him. Application Questions: 1. Where is God leading me? For what specific call did He create me for (aside from worshipping Him and giving glory to His name). What (or Where) is the land that God had in mind for me when he created me? 2. What am I doing to achieve His purpose / reach his destination for me? 3. Am I willing to leave it all up to God in the end, after I have done my part? Or would I be proud and arrogant and dare to think of myself as “qualified for more” even if it’s not part of God’s plan?
