Instructional Materials Committee Representative Bilingual Campus Representative As a member of the committee, I trained and collaborated with teachers on the instructional material selection process in our campus, provided and reviewed the materials, and communicated with publishers. District-wide Student Improvement Council (DSIC) Member As a member of the council, I am responsible for communicating to the district of any needs at the campus and sharing to the school community of any staff development plans, district instructional calendar, zoning, and special projects. Co-Chair Vertical Team As co-chair of the Writing Vertical Team, my partner and I support and collaborate with teachers across grade levels to increase their understandings of the writing curriculum and support campus improvement plan. Co-created and planned writing campus staff developments to build a strong foundation on essay writing and curriculum expectations. I initiated the plan and developed procedures and expectations for a parental involvement program for the school. The purpose of the program is to provide parents with an opportunity to participate in the on-going efforts to provide an education to their children as established in the school’s Campus Improvement Plan. 1
Students Organization Leader With the support of colleagues, I initiated, planned, and implemented a student organization for collecting paper to be recycled at the campus. During this time, students participated and increased paper collection at the campus by 100%. Grade-Level Chair As a grade-level chair, I supported and kept the team focus in an approachable manner. As part of my responsibilities, I established open communication between Administrators and team members, promoted positive attitudes, gathered input, worked on the grade-level budget, and organized meetings.
