Social classes and government Specialist: Use the following questions as a guide to your research:

Describe the feudal system and explain how it worked, including how the distinction of classes was made. Who did the lord of the manor answer to and in what ways? Describe the manor house and the surrounding propoerty. Describe life for the women in the manor (duties, education, clothing, etc.). Provides examples of common laws people had to follow (crimes and punishments). What social class did knights come from and what stages did they have to go through to become a knight? What is chivalry and how did it apply to knights? Describe the armor that knights wore as well as the various weapons they used. Where and why did commercial centers rise up during the Middle Ages?
