The PTFE membrane Cartridge in an all-propylene construction provides excellent chemical compatibility and superior flow per surface area as compared to other membrane cartridges. Polypropylene pleated filter cartridges are constructed with melt blown PP fiber media that have been specially designed for clarification & prefiltration applications. The cartridges are double layered filters. The graded porosity design removes particles in sequence such as larger particles by the more open outer layers and the smaller particles by the tighter inner layers. The outer layer acts as the prefilter while the inner layers provide the rating at the specified pore size. This efficiently spreads the contaminants through out the media matrix resulting in superior contaminant holding capacity, lifetime & pressure drop as compared to other media cartridges.

FILTER BAG MATERIALS FELT FELT filter bag materials are made from synthetic fibers in polypropylene or polyester. Polypropylene & polyester bags are supplied with a glazed finish to reduce fiber migration. These bags have a nominal micron rating. MULTIFILAMENT MESH MULTIFILAMENT MESH materials are offered in polyester and are woven from threads made of small fibers twisted together. Bags made of this material are low cost and considered disposable. They have lower efficiencies than the monofilament mesh. About 80% vs 90%. MONOIFILAMENT MESH MONOFILAMENT MESH is offered in nylon and is a woven material. Each thread is a single filament. The openings are square,. They have excellent strength and are considered to be cleanable. Filter efficiency is 90% or more.

SYSTEMS & SERVICES Specification Sheet SS HORIZONTAL PLATE FILTER PRESS / SPARKLER FILTER HOUSING S&S make horizontal sparkler filters consists of SS shell & top cover with swing bolts to give pressure tight enclosure. The filter cartridge assembly inside the shell consists of several horizontally arranged disc type filter plates with perforated supporting screens, filter media & interlocking cups. The entire assembly complete with pump & piping connection can be mounted on a suitable SS trolley, if required. The sparkler filter components are argon arc welded & mirror polished. It can be jacketed for hot filtration.

S & S stainless steel pressure type filter holders can be used for ultra cleaning or sterilizing liquids & gases. The pressure filter holders have been designed to maximize flow rates and to minimize holder resistance. The flow rates are maximized by applying positive pressure to the fluid over a broad membrane surface. The filter holders are autoclavable. They can be used in either batch or continuous filtration procedures. All holders vent to release pressure. They have PTFE gaskets, silicon O-ring and photo etched stainless steel support screens to prevent membrane from sticking. SS filter holders comes in different sizes of 13, 25, 90, 47, 142 & 293mm. Suitable filter media of different porosities can be used accordingly. Features And benefits:

 Higher differential pressures are possible, resulting in higher flow rates. The pressure differential across the membrane is not limited to atmospheric pressure (<14.7psi)  Unintentional contamination downstream of the membrane is minimized.  Denaturation of proteins and other biological polymers due to foaming downstream of the membrane is avoided .  Vapor accumulation and possible explosion can be avoided using an inert gas to pressurize solvents and combustible or flammable liquids.
