T AKE- O UT F OOD M ENU At The Vortex, our “dine-in” guests are always our first priority so we may suspend take-out orders during peak business times. When the restaurant is busy, we don’t have time to wait while you ask all your co-workers what dressing they want on their salads, so please have your order complete before calling. Pay attention to which Vortex location you dial because that is where your food will be waiting for you. We will give you an approximate pick-up time for your order, so if your food sits around and gets cold and soggy, it’s your own damn fault. Always check the contents of your order before you leave. We will NOT be responsible for errors or missing items once orders are removed from our premises. All menu items, prices and descriptions are subject to change without notice. A 5% packaging fee is added to all take-out orders. An additional 10% is added to orders of 25 or more items. If you order food to-go, you can’t eat it in the restaurant, that’s why it’s called “take-out.”

At The Vortex Bar & Grill the customer is NOT always right. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, especially if we think that you’re a great big jerk. We strive to keep The Vortex an official “Idiot-Free Zone” at all times, so if you’re acting like an idiot, we’ll be sure to let you know, right before we throw your stupid ass out.

READ THIS MENU Everything you need to know about our food and beverage selection is printed somewhere within ours menus. Please read them thoroughly. If you ask us stupid questions we will be forced to mock you mercilessly.

N O W HINING The Vortex Bar & Grill is not a Public Library, it is a privately owned bar and as such we enforce a very strict “No-Whining” policy. We are sorry if you are offended by the obnoxious strippers sitting at the table next to you, or if you think that the bar area is too smoky, or if you don’t like the music, but if you need to have total control over your environment then you really need to stay home.

S MOKING & A G E R ESTRICTION The Vortex is proud to accommodate non-smokers and smokers alike, and we will continue to do so as long as this choice is not taken away from small business owners by evil zealots and petty bureaucrats. Believe us, they’ve tried. In accordance with The Georgia Smokefree Air Act of 2005, you must now be 18 or older to enter The Vortex at any time. If you cannot tolerate being around any type of smoke, we suggest you go somewhere else. If you are going to smoke, make sure you know where our designated smoking areas are. We do not allow the smoking of cigars, pipes or clove cigarettes at any time.

S PECIAL O RDERS & E X T R A S F R E S H F O O D P REPARATION N O T I C E All the items on our menu are fresh, and cooked to order. We strive to have food to your table within 20 minutes but if we are very busy your order may take a little longer. Any well-done burgers will also increase your wait time. You see, a half pound of fresh, raw sirloin actually has to cook! Nothing at The Vortex ever sits under a heat lamp. This ain’t fast food, it’s good food.

The Vortex is a true short-order kitchen. We will gladly prepare special orders whenever it is possible. If you place an order for something that is not on our menu, and we do make it for you, we will charge you whatever damn price we think is fair and you’ll thank us for it. If you request extra stuff, that’s no problem either, but you will be charged for it. Hey, we don’t get any of this stuff for free. If we are on a wait for tables, make sure to give your name to the Host or Hostess. This is the only way that you will get a seat. Be advised that we will not seat incomplete parties during any peak business time. We know all your little tricks too, so don’t even try them. And don’t ever come in here and start moving the furniture around like you own the place or we’ll slap you like a red-headed stepchild. If your group has special seating needs, please let the Manager, Host or Server help you. Really, we want to help you.

Cash is great. We also accept most major plastic. We do not accept personal checks or traveler’s checks. GEEK NOTE: If you review your bank activity “online,” you should know that when you use certain debit cards at restaurants, the dollar amount you see may appear greater than the actual “charge” amount for a period of up to three days. This is a banking industry policy that The Vortex has absolutely no control over so don’t be calling us crying about it. Contact your bank or card issuer for more information.

S EPARATE C H E C K S If you are dining with people that you just don’t trust, you may request a separate check. But please ask your Server for your own check when placing your order, otherwise you’re gonna screw up our system. We will NOT issue separate checks for parties of six or more people, but we will happily supply you with a calculator.

T IP OR D I E An 18% gratuity may be added to your check if you are a party of six or more. If you think that tipping is a scam, then buy yourself a TV dinner, stay home and watch wrestling. Tipping is how our Servers and Bartenders make their living. If you ever feel that you have received substandard service, please notify the Manager-on-Duty before you leave. We really want to know.
