The Women’s Aid Service, Inc. is a local non-profit dedicated to providing safety and
empowerment to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We work to eliminate sexual victimization and domestic violence by providing treatment and education within our community.
Women’s Aid Service acknowledges that domestic violence and sexual assault affect people of
every income level, race, religion, sexual orientation, age and social background, and that they are not private matters, but criminal offenses and public issues. Our agency is opposed to any and all forms of abuse.
In order to achieve our goals, we offer a variety of services to not only our clients, but to the
community as well.
The Women’s Aid Service offers a 24-hour crisis line for anyone in need of support, referrals,
information, advice or safety planning. We also offer an emergency shelter, where the location is kept confidential, legal advocacy, and counseling services.
As far as the community, we provide prevention education to everyone. Presentations can take
place in high schools, college classrooms or to working professionals. These cover topics such as signs of domestic violence, teen dating violence, rape culture, and sexual assault prevention.
We allow our clients to make all of their own decisions about moving forward while we offer
guidance, support and the necessary resources to carry them out.
Women’s Aid Service commits to creating social change within the community through care and
education. We are here to heal, restore and empower.
