Pol. ad paid for by Wade Emmert for Dallas County Judge. Ebby Halliday Acers, Treasurer, P.O. Box 192741, Dallas, TX

To the Citizens of Dallas County... Difficult financial times, traffic congestion, a lack of confidence in local government, and a crisis in leadership. As residents of Dallas County, we face all these realities, and more. Here’s what I propose: ★ We need real ethics reform in Dallas County that applies to all elected county officials. ★ Our county government needs to be transparent. We should put county transactions online so you know where your tax dollars are going. And we need to broadcast meetings over the web. ★ It’s time to be realistic about regional issues like transportation. If we don’t, your 20 minute commute will become 53 minutes in the next 15 years. ★ We should encourage job growth in all areas of the county, especially the southern sector, and plan wisely for future growth. ★ We should provide more educational and research opportunities. Texas has only 3 tier-one research institutions in the entire state, and none of them are in Dallas County. The challenges before us are considerable, but not insurmountable. I don’t have all the answers, but I’m informed, engaged and committed to finding real solutions. If you believe we need to put our county government back on the right track, I’d appreciate your support and vote for Dallas County Judge.
