Join Us! Gateway, located in Irvington, NJ since 1991, in Elizabeth, NJ since 1985 and in Plainfield, NJ since 2008 is an evangelical, non-profit ministry.

The Biblical view of the sanctity of human life Counseling basics Crisis intervention relative to pregnancy Developing good listening skills The ‘how’s’ and ‘why’s’ of biblical confrontation HIV, condoms, RU-486 The Planned Parenthood/Black American connection Chastity counseling Biblical post abortion healing The adoption option Counseling boyfriends/husbands How to make a good referral Avoiding the “Drama Triangle” Sharing Christ with women in a crisis pregnancy plus .. much, much more!
French and Spanish speaking volunteers are needed, as are male counselors. RN’s and LPN’s needed for our sonogram ministry. Other areas of service besides peer counseling are available. All Gateway Pregnancy Center volunteers must show evidence of being born again, and be attending a Bible-believing church.
Where?
Three classes at Gateway/960 Springfield Avenue, Irvington, NJ and one class at our satellite center, 65 Jefferson Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ
When?
7:00 to 10:00 pm on Thursdays 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on Saturdays
Cost?
$25 per individual or $35 for a married couple includes training, manual, and all other materials -- even the Gateway official pen!
Complimentary lunch provided on both Saturdays .. refreshments throughout the seminar. Questions you may have.. ?? Must I attend all four sessions to complete the training? YES ?? Am I committing myself to working as a volunteer at Gateway? NO ..this training simply prepares you for service ?? What about childcare? Sorry, none is provided
How to get to Gateway Going south: Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 143. Get off the exit and bear right onto Springfield Avenue. Park in the spaces provided adjacent to Gateway at 960 Springfield Avenue. Going no rth: Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 143. Make a left at the end of the ramp. Travel through three traffic lights (Clermont Avenue becomes Ball Street). Make a left onto Springfield Avenue. Parking adjacent to 960 Springfield Avenue Building or along Brookside Avenue.
