VALLEJO AQUATIC CLUB PACIFIC SWIMMING ZONE DUAL MEET VALLEJO AQUATIC CLUB (VJO) VS WINE COUNTRY AQUATICS OF NAPA (WCAN) June 6, 2009 SANCTION: Held under USA/Pacific Swimming Sanction Number: WHERE: John F. Cunningham Pool, 801 Heartwood Ave, Vallejo CA. FACILITY: Course, heated pool: 25 yards, up to 8 competition lanes. Separate warm-up and warm-down area available throughout the meet. Electronic timing may be used. TIME: Pool opens for warm-ups at 8:00 am. Meet will begin at 9:00 am. Meet must be completed by 1:00 pm,. RULES: Current USA and Pacific Swimming rules will govern the meet. Pacific Swimming warm-up procedures will be in effect. A copy of these rules will be posted at the Clerk-of-Course. All events are timed finals. Swimmers may compete in all events in their age group. Heats of girls and boys as well as events may be combined. All coaches and deck officials must wear their USA Swimming membership card in a visible manner. There are no penalties for swimmers who miss an event. If local conditions warrant it, the Meet Referee with the concurrence of the Meet Director may require a mandatory scratch down. "Entry times submitted for this meet will be checked against a computer database and may be changed in accordance with Pacific Swimming Entry Time Verification Procedures." RESTRICTIONS: Smoking and the use of other tobacco products is prohibited on the pool deck, in the locker rooms, in spectator areas, and in all areas used by swimmers during the meet and warm-up periods. Sale and use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in all areas of the meet. No glass is permitted on the pool deck and facilities. ELIGIBILITY: Swimmers must be current members of USA-S and enter their name and registration number on the meet entry form as they are shown on their Registration Card. If this is not done, it may be difficult to match the swimmer with the registration and times database. The meet host must check all swimmer registrations against the SWIMS database, and if not found to be registered, the Meet Director shall accept the registration at the meet (a $10 surcharge will be added to the regular registration fee). Duplicate registrations will be refunded by mail. Disabled swimmers are welcome to attend this meet and should contact the Meet Director or Meet Referee regarding special accommodations on entry times and seeding per Pacific Swimming’s policy. ENTRIES: Entries shall be submitted to VJO on a Hy-Tek diskette by (Wednesday June 3, 2009. No Times” (NT) will be accepted. There are NO fees to enter this meet. CHECK-IN: The meet is pre-seeded. Swimmers are not required to check in. It is the swimmers' responsibility to report to the proper lane in the correct heat of their events. AWARDS: Ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Relays 1st only. HOSPITALITY: There will be no snack bar. Hospitality will be provided for all working volunteers.
