Participating in the People's Stimulus Program are, from left to right: Carol Leek, Gabe Brown and Paul Miller.
First came the surprise. Then came the tears of joy. All from a little bit of stimulus. The $200 in $2 bills wouldn't even begin to make a dent in the stimulus monies given to the country's banking and automotive sectors. But Carol Leek, whose Keizer-based cleaning company Let It Shine is participating in the People's Stimulus program, thought it a nice way to give her employees a bonus while at the same time give the local economy a little help.
Our Goal: $1,700
Texts: Matthew 22:40; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 4:14; 2 Peter 1:8 Topic: Vision Thesis: A clear and simple vision will keep us moving forward together in Kingdom service. Title: Vision Accomplished. Now What?
“Mrs. Pearl Cooley, a member at Springfield who had recently moved to Salem, wrote the Baptist Convention Office, located at that time in Portland, inquiring about Southern Baptist work in the area. About the same time… Roland Hood placed a notice in the Salem newspaper asking anyone interested in beginning a Southern Baptist work in the Salem area to meet at the Senator Hotel. Ten people were at the meeting on Sunday night, March 25, 1950. Capital Baptist Church was officially organized on September 9th, 1950.” Capital Baptist Church History Committee
