VENDOR APPLICATION Summer Nights: Every Thursday Night from 11 June until 3 September, 2009 Although there is no Jury Fee, three 4 x 6 photographs of your booth must accompany this application to help facilitate placement. This is a “one time only” – photos will be kept on file for future reference. Acceptance and confirmation will be via e-mail or telephone! Late applications will be on a “space available cash only” basis. No refunds will be given. There are no guaranteed locations as placement is at the discretion of the Vending Coordinators. All vendors must have liability insurance and submit a copy with this application. Set up times, parking, etc. will accompany acceptance. Booths must be disassembled after 8.30 pm. No early tear downs permitted. SummerFest: 26 and 27 June, 2009 Although there is no Jury Fee, three 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 photographs of your booth must accompany this application to help facilitate placement. Applications will be accepted until 31 May, 2009. Acceptance confirmation and placement information will be sent no later than 12 June, 2009. Late applications will be on a “space available - cash only” basis. No refunds will be given. There are no guaranteed locations as placement is at the discretion of the Vending Coordinators. All vendors must have liability insurance and submit a copy with this application. Event hours run into the evening on both days but unfortunately, electricity is not available for vendors. Also, due to Rapid City Fire Department restrictions, generators are not permitted. Therefore, the Vending Committee recommends the use of inverters for electricity. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. There will be security on Friday and Saturday night but booths must be disassembled by 7 am on Sunday. All traffic barriers will be removed and streets, plus parking areas, will be opened to motorists at that time. No early tear downs permitted. All vendors are responsible for collecting and submitting South Dakota Sales Tax. Forms will be available, if needed. Please make all checks payable to Destination Rapid City (DRC). I agree that photographs or videos may be taken of my booth to be used by Summer Nights and SummerFest for promotional and/or publicity purposes only. 2. Proof of fire-resistant tent or canopy is required by the Rapid City Fire Department. The Fire Department will inspect all tents and canopies prior to the beginning of both events. All noncompliant tents or canopies must be removed by the Vendor prior to the beginning of the events. 3. Area clean up is the responsibility of the Vendor. Indemnification Statement of Financial Responsibility Waiver I, the undersigned, as an authorized person, officer or director of the participant herein named, do hereby agree release, hold harmless and indemnify SummerFest, Summer Nights, the Rapid City Downtown Association, and/or Destination Rapid City, its participants, officers, directors from any financial loss that may occur as a result of or relating to participation in the above named events.
