Janice: In follow up to our earlier phone conversation, attached are all the documents our Intelligence Bureau found on Alomari. The 1995 offense report on a burglary has purged and can no longer be retrieved. We only maintain those types of records on file for three years, then the original records are destroyed. Detective Ron Mayoral, 73076, of our Intelligence Bureau conducted the record query searches on your request, his direct number is (720) 913-6341, if you have any questions about the documents I am faxing to you now. I will put the original copies in the mail to you today. I checked with our Intelligence Bureau as to the tracking of passport numbers, the Denver Police Department does not track those passport numbers, there suggestion was to contact the Immigration Department or the Department that issues passports they should be able to track thepld number for you. If you need any further assistance, please contact my office at (720) 913-6013, and we will be happy to assist you anyway we can. Thanks. Kim, Denver Police Department, Civil Liability Bureau

U. S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General

November 18, 2003 Daniel Marcus General Counsel National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States 301 7* Street, S.W., Suite 5125 Washington, D.C. 20407 Re: November 3 Request for OIG Materials Dear Mr. Marcus: I am writing in response to your November 3, 2003, request for lists or indices of interviewees and supporting documentation created by the Department of Justice Office of Inspector General (OIG) in connection with three publicly released reports: 1. The September 11 Detainees: A Review of the Treatment of Aliens Held on Immigration Charges in Connection with the Investigation of the September 11 Attacks (June 2003); 2. The Immigration and Naturalization Service's Contacts With Two September 11 Terrorists: A Review of the INS's Admissions of Mohamed Atta and Marwan Alshehhi, its Processing of their Change of Status Applications, and its Efforts to Track Foreign Students in the United States (May 20, 2002); and 3. Follow-Up Report on the Border Patrol's Efforts to Improve Northern Border Security (Redacted Version), Report No. I2002-004, February 2002. In connection with the September 11 Detainees report, we have attached a 20-page document that contains an index of witnesses interviewed and a general summary of documents obtained by the OIG during the course of that investigation. In connection with the Atta/Alshehhi report, we have attached a one-page list of materials related to that report that have been archived by the OIG Office of Oversight and Review, and a 10-page index which relates to the Foreign Exchange and Visitor Program portion of that report. Finally, in connection with the Northern Border Security report, we have attached a one-page survey roster and a three-page workpaper index.

Please contact me at (202) 616-0645 if you have any questions or if you need further information. Sincerely,

Sincerely,
