Mauritius is a beautiful island which is situated in the warm Indian Ocean and surrounded by magnificent coral reefs. The island has something for everyone, from botanical gardens to flea markets, shopping malls to volcanoes or just plain lazy days on the beach.

The Best Time To Travel There are 2 seasons in Mauritius: Summer: May to September. Temperatures vary from 17C at night to 24C in the mid-afternoon. In between, a pleasant period from September to November with temperatures averaging 26C. Western and Northern regions are warmer and drier than the East and the South. The cyclone season generally occurs between January to March, bringing a lot of rain. Visitors should be prepared to spend a few days indoors during extra-heavy rains.

Mombasa is Kenya’s second largest town and its only port. The picturesque town is built on an island and is attached to the mainland by two deepwater harbours.
