Spring 2019

Skillshops

What are Skillshops? The Skillshops program offers free workshops, or mini courses that provide reallife solutions to common student issues. The primary goals of these Skillshops are to: 1. Assist students in their academic, personal, career, cultural, social and personal development 2. Encourage holistic development 3. Encourage learning outside the classroom 4. Assist students with making a strong connection to Valencia College

Green Bag Campaign

For Academic & Emotional Fitness The Green Bag Campaign is a Counselor-led initiative designed to improve students’ ability to employ academic success skills & emotional coping strategies. Counselors will host information tables, classroom presentations, Skillshops and other events designed to help students “fill their bag” with techniques and strategies to build their academic & emotional fitness levels. Look for the green bag icon.
