Radiation Protection in Uranium Exploration Seminar 14 September 2007, 9 am to 5 pm University of Adelaide, Seminar Room 1st Floor, Physics Building, Room 121 The seminar will provide an opportunity to gain some basic radiation protection and regulatory information concerning uranium exploration and will enable participants to meet other people involved in this industry. Trade exhibitors will also be in attendance with the latest in radiation protection equipment being demonstrated. Seminar Topics Include: Regulating Uranium Mining in South Australia, Radiation Management Plans, Radiation Protection in Bore Hole Logging, Transport and Storage of Radioactive Ore Samples, Addressing Skills Shortages. Speakers Include representatives from the EPA, State Government, and industry. Morning and afternoon tea, lunch and post seminar drinks will be provided. Parking: Off street car parks are located nearby on North Terrace, e.g .Myer carpark. Parking is not available on the University of Adelaide grounds.
