Many ministries are lying to many people even to this day. There is only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. That is according to Ephesians 4:5. They say that the titles father, son, and Holy Spirit are the same as Jesus in name and authority. Really! Try cashing a check in titles instead of your family name of Tom Jones (An example name only!) and see how that works at the bank. Jesus is the whole entire name of the family of God (Ephesians 3:15, John 5:43/14:26, and Matthew 1:21) in heaven and in earth. It alone has all saving power. (Matthew 28:18 and Acts 4:12) Commanded for all things, both in every word and in every deed. (Colossians 3:17) And Jesus has all wisdom and power. (1 Corinthians 1:24 and Jude 1:24-25.) And because someone lies and contradicts God and his word, should anyone believe them? No way! Satan himself is disguised as an angel of light as his ministers are. Will you trust your eternal destiny of any person's words except the word of God? Jesus would not (Matthew 4:4) nor Peter, (Acts 5:29) and certainly not Paul. (Galatians 1:6-12) These all taught that baptism was by faith unto salvation. Read the book of Acts 2:38 through 22:16. Read the letters of Paul (14) and Peter (2) as they both require baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. He is Lord of all says Acts 10:36. Therefore you should hear the word of the Lord Jesus and obey his commandment of baptism in Mark 16:16, John 3:5, and Luke 24:45-48 as well as Matthew 28:18-19. Can two walk together except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3) In order to be in the bond of unity you must unify yourself with the teachings of Jesus and his Apostles. Until then you are in a religion without power to save anyone. Matthew 7:21-23 speaks of the religious lost in the future judgement. If Jesus walked seventy miles to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness. (Matthew 3:12-17 and Mark 1:9-11) And Peter told everyone he met to do it in the name of Jesus. (Acts 2:38, 8:12-18, and 10:36-48) Finally, Paul was baptized in Jesus name after fasting and praying to God for three days. (Acts 9:18 and 22:16) Who are these people who withstand God? Well, the Catholics changed the baptismal formula officially in 325 A.D. to the trinity from the name of Lord Jesus Christ. History tells us that it was shortly after the Apostles died (John was the last one passing around 99 A.D. He was the only one to have died a natural death.) that the mode and formula of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ were changed. (From Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible, Vol. 1, Pg.241.) Justin Martyr changed it from simply the Apostles formula of the Lord Jesus Christ to a trinity with Jesus in it's middle around 145 A.D. The first recorded trinitarian water baptism reference..."For, in the name of God, the Father and Lord of the universe, and of the Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit, they then receive the washing with water." This by Justin Martyr. Finally Tertullian (Who later coined trinity or Trinitas by twisting Pagan Plato's work of Timaeus in 200 A.D.) modified the formula to simply the trinity. He was a fan of Justin as both were Greeks. The Didache or teaching has it both ways. In the name of the Lord (Jesus) and in the titles. Can two walk together except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3) Can you get sweet and bitter waters from the same fountain? James 3:11-12. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. What agreement or concord does Christ have with Belial or Satan? 2 Corinthian 6:15-17. And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. If they are both so equal can you cast out demons in the titles? Can you be healed in the father, son, and Holy Ghost? According to the Scriptures, the proper mode of baptism is immersion. "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water" (Matthew 3:16). "And they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him" (Acts 8:38). "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death" (Romans 6:4). A corpse is not buried by placing it on top of the ground and sprinkling a little soil on it, but by covering it completely. According to the

World Book Encyclopedia, "At first all baptism was by complete immersion" (vol. 1, p.651). And the Catholic Encyclopedia states, "In the early centuries, all were baptized by immersion in streams, pools, and baptisteries" (vol. 2, p.263). Immersion was not convenient after the Catholic church instituted infant baptism; thus the mode was changed to sprinkling. (See Encyclopedia Britannica, 11th ed., vol. 3, pp.365-66.) Repentance identifies us with the death of Christ, and baptism identifies us with His burial. Coming forth from the watery grave of baptism and receiving new life in the Holy Spirit identifies us with His resurrection. Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost:" He did not command them to use these words as a formula, but He commanded them to baptize in "the name." The word name is used here in the singular, and it is the focal point of the baptismal command. The titles father, son, and Holy Ghost describe God's relationships to humanity and are not the supreme saving name which is Jesus. Jesus is the name in which the roles of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are revealed. The angel of the Lord instructed Joseph, "She shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:21). Jesus said, "I am come in my Father's name," and, "The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,...the Father will send in my name" (John 5:43/14:26). Thus by baptizing in the name of Jesus, we honor the Godhead. "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (Colossians 2:9). This scripture was already stated earlier. "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Here is the command by Jesus himself. Mark 16:15-16 "And he said unto them, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." John 3:5 "Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." Luke 24:47 "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." And this is what Peter and the Apostles both said and did. Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:41 "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls." Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Acts 10:47-48 "Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days." Acts 9:18 "and immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized." (The baptism of Paul). Acts 22:16 " And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.? Acts 18:8 "And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized." Acts 19:3-5 "And he said unto them, unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, unto Johns baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, Christ Jesus. When they heard this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus." Finally the letters of Paul. Galatians 3:27 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Ephesians 4:5 "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." The church is "built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone" (Ephesians 2:20). The apostles not only preached baptism in Jesus' name, but they practiced it. Nowhere can we find that they baptized using the words or titles "in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost." Instead, we find them baptizing in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In baptizing in Jesus' name, they fulfilled the command of the Lord in Matthew 28:19. Paul said, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto

you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:8). Let this be a solemn warning to all. Some say that they will accept the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19 but not those of Peter in Acts 2:38. But Peter spoke on the Day of Pentecost under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Peter was one of the apostles, and to him had been given the keys of the kingdom, so we have no right to discredit his words. In Mark 7:8 Jesus said, "Laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men." Which means more to you, the command of the Lord or the tradition of men? Did a man die for your sins, maybe your church group, or was it Jesus? John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
