The Virgin Islands & the United Nations – What’s the Connection? A Panel Discussion in observance of United Nations Day Monday 26th October 2009 Fort Frederik Frederiksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands 6:30PM - 8:30 PM St. Croix, US Virgin Islands United Nations (U.N.) Day is commemorated each year in recognition of the work of the world body and its role in economic, social and political development. United Nations associations worldwide conduct U.N. Day activities to enhance awareness of the efforts of the world body in the maintenance of international peace and security, human rights, and other areas. The program hosted by the United Nations Association of the Virgin Islands will be an interactive dialogue among knowledgeable panelists who will address key aspects of the work of the United Nations with specific reference to its relationship to the US Virgin Islands and the wider region.
