Aims:Students will be able to describe a column chart based on the information in vertical axis and horizontal axis. -Skills: writing. II. Teaching aids:Pictures, extraboard III. Procedure Teacher’s activities WARM-UP ( 4’) _Ask sts to listen and answer the questions. 1. What does your morther often do in your family? 2. What does your father often do? 3. Acording to you, who has to do more housework? _Call some sts to present their answers aloud in front of class. -Comment.

Students’s activities _Whole class. _Answers. 1. My mother often does something such as cooking, washing, sawing, taking care of the children….. 2. My father often plants the trees, teaches the students, and sometimes helps my mother do houseworks 3. My mother has to do more housework than my father

PRE-WRITING{10 ’) a.Task 1: _Have sts read task1. _Introduce sts how to do exercise and explain some new words. _Ask sts to work in pairs: look at the chart and answer the questions. _Go around and help when necessary +Provide new words or the way to describe. -Call sts to present their answers orally. _Correct.

_Whole class. _ Listen carefully. -Pairwork. _Answers: 1. In general, married women do more housework than men do. 2. They have to do more housework when they have more children. 3. Married men have to do less housework when they have more children. 4. Married men and women without children spend 20 and 30 hours on their housework per week respectively. 5. It takes men and women with one or two children 15 and 50 hours respectively to do their housework every week. 6. They are 10 and 55. 7. Married men should spend more time sharing the housework with their wives

WHILE-WRITING (20’) Task 2: -Ask sts to read task 2.

_Whole class.

-Explain and introduce sts to do exercice. _Provice somse connectors. _Ask sts to work in group of 4: write a report describing the information shown in the column chart in task 1 on the extraboard. _Go ar around checking and help sts when necessary. .

POST-WRITING (9’) -Choose 2 writings: a good and a bad writing. _Ask others to correct: grammar and idea. -Give the feedback.

HOMEWORK _Ask sts to review phrasal verbs in unit 14 at home. IV. Feedback.
