Wilson’s Fourteen Points • President Wilson’s plan to maintain a peaceful world after WWI • The U.S. Senate did not agree with all the “points”
League of Nations • Goal: to ensure war never broke out
again • Some Senators opposed the League because to keep the US out of future military conflicts
Treaty of Versailles • Final agreement signed to end WWI • U.S. rejected it to keep free from foreign entanglements
Reparations • Germany was forced to pay
reparations for the damages is caused other European countries • U.S. lent Germany the money to pay
