Uniqueness of Sri Ramakrishna - T R Sambamurthy, Secretary, D.L.S., Port Blair 1. Sri Ramakrishna is verily an incarnation of God. 2. Sri Ramakrishna is an embodiment of all Gods and Goddesses and so he is Sarva Deva Devi Swarupa, an unique state indeed. 3. Sri Ramakrishna has practiced all the Bhavas and Tantras, attaining the same summit through each claim. 4. The Paramahamsa has scrupulously followed the discipline of Christianity and Islam and saw Christ and Mohammed merging in his own body. 5. Sri Ramakrishna has emphatically declared that “As many faiths, so many paths”. 6. Sri Ramakrishna’s uniqueness is seen in his choice of his first disciple Sri Sarada Devi, his own consort, his training her spiritually as well as secularly and also performing the Shodasi puja of worshipping her as the Divine Mother. 7. His method of training his disciples according to the needs and capacity of aspirants is unique. 8. Sri Ramakrishna is unique as nothing is negative but everything is positive in him. 9. The philosophy of Sri Ramakrishna is unique in the sense that unlike other systems of philosophy, it is a way of life and realization than a way of speculation. 10.Sri Ramakrishna had the first Samadhi at the age of 7 and the vision of Divine Mother at the age of 20. 11.Sri Ramakrishna’s married life was demonstrated through life-long spiritual practice sacrificing the sexual pleasures. 12.Sri Ramakrishna is an unique figure in the history of Hinduism, because without much education he preached and practiced the sublime truth of yoga and Vedanta. 13.Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa’s unique life is a story of religion in practice, which enables us to see God face to face. He was a living embodiment of godliness. 14. Sri Ramakrishna has uniquely revealed his Divinity to the world on 1st January 1886, the Kalpataru Day, for the devotees of Sri Ramakrishna, who showered his blessings unconditionally on everyone present in the Cossipore garden. 15.It is a great wonder that Sri Ramakrishna, the illiterate priest of Dakshineswar temple, who lived only for 50 years, has taught us the great philosophy of Hinduism in a simple and unique way to realize God by renouncing Kama and Kanchana (lust and lure) with intense longing for the vision of God and at last attained Maha Samadhi in 1886, mingling his Atma with Paramatma. Glory to Ramakrishna!
