Sports & Rec: Basketball Youth Basketball Leagues ages 6-14: At the Y, we are not just a place where kids learn basketball. We also strive to instill our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our sports leagues provide youth with an opportunity to develop sportsmanship, teamwork, get exercise and have fun! Divisions: Register child by age division, determined by child's age at start of season. U8 Coed: ages 6 & 7 • U10 Coed: ages 8 & 9 U12-U15 Girls: ages 10 – 14 • U12 Boys: ages 10 & 11 U15 Boys: ages 12 – 14 Teams: Formed based on a skills evaluation. Teams will be picked by the coaches on Aug. 23 for fall season & Nov. 15 for winter season. Evaluation times are... U8 Coed: 10:00 am • U10 Coed: 11:30 am U12/15 Girls: 1:00 pm • U12 Boys: 2:30 pm U15 Boys: 4:00 pm Fall Season: Practice begins the week of Sept. 1. Games: Saturdays, Sept. 6 – Nov. 1 Registration: Begins July 24 & ends Aug. 22 (or when full)
Winter Season: Practice begins the week of Nov. 22. Games: Dec. 6 – Feb. 14 (no games Dec. 22 – Jan. 4) Registration: Ends Nov. 14 (or when full) Fees: Child Additional Child Child of Head Coach*

*Additional child and child of head coach rates apply for children & coaches within the same youth sport activity. Child of head coach discount given only to those who attend pre-season coaches meeting. Fees include team jerseys, but annual program member fee is additional, if not a facility member.

Beginning Basketball ages 4-7: This 5-week program will introduce children to the game of basketball. They will work on shooting and dribbling skills. Tuesdays, 4:15 – 4:45 pm Members Save $15 Session 1: Aug. 19 – Sept. 16 Session 2: Sept. 23 – Oct. 21 Session 3: Nov. 11 – Dec. 16 (no class 11/25) MEM: $30 PRO: $45 Adult Basketball League ages 18+: This league will consist of an 8 game schedule, with a playoff for the league championship. Sign up as an individual or as a team. Sundays, 6:00 – 10:00 pm Members Save $20 Fall League: Sept. 7 – Nov. 2 Winter League: Dec. 7 – Feb. 15 (no game 12/28)
MEM: $40 PRO: $60 TEAM: $400 Prices include team jerseys. Basketball Officiating Class ages 14+: This 8-week class, taught by the Georgia Basketball Officiating Association, is the first step to becoming an official. The class will cover rules interpretations, mechanics drill, philosophy of officiating, psychology of officiating & game management. All participants will receive a Fox 40 whistle & lanyard and an officiating basketball book. Mondays, 7:30 – 9:30 pm Members Save $25 Aug. 18 – Oct.13 (no class 9/1) MEM: $100 PRO: $125
