TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW LED stands for Light Emitting Diode which is essentially a semiconductor device that emits visible light when electrical current passes through it. Diodes only let electric current run in one direction but LED produces photons of light when this occurs. In this way, light is produced in a highly efficient manner since it does not depend on a filament or any other device to convert electricity into light.

Product Application

ƒ Interior design and general lighting ƒ Architecture lighting ƒ Illuminated advertising ƒ Illuminated lettering and corporate lighting ƒ Orientation lighting in buildings and outdoors ƒ Escape route marking ƒ Designer lights and built-in luminaires ƒ Illuminated signs ƒ LED Video Displays

ADVANTAGES OF LED

ADVANTAGES OF LED

Efficiency • LED creates more light with 2 to 6 times less electricity than normal incandescent lamps. • LEDs are 10 to 50 times more energy-efficient, thus reducing the operating costs by up to 90%.

Lifetime • LEDs can last an average of 50,000 hours, comparing to 10,000 hours for normal incandescent lamps.

Safety • Low voltage eliminates the risk of electrocution. • Low temperature eliminates the risk of fire and burns.

Versatility • Better resistance to shocks, vibrations, frequent switching and temperature extremes that rapidly incapacitate fragile incandescent lamps. • The response times are 100 to 1,000 times faster than incandescent so there’s no flicker, just pure dramatic light.

QUARTERLITES

QuarterLite

Quarterlites Overview • •

Patented product employs a ring revolutionary concept: >> light disbursed in effective and economical manner. Powered by premium quality highest brightness LEDs >> maintains 70% light output even after 50,000 hours of operation.

QuarterLite Intellectual Property

1. 2.

Manufactured by Hexagon under license from Luminanz Ltd., UK. The intellectual property is registered under the following patent registration:-

Australia: 2007306180 Canada: 2.665.461 China: 200780037842.2 EU: 07824088.4 India: 1758/KOLNP/2009 Malaysia: PI 20091392 South Africa: 2009/03200 UAE: 333/2009 USA: 12/413.921

QuarterLites Advantages: 1. Maintenance free applications for up to 50,000 hours (approx.10 years with 12 hours per day computation) which eliminate maintenance at elevated heights that requires gondolas, cherry pickers and scaffoldings. 2. Typical energy savings of Quarterlites over conventional backlit is around 60%. 3. Ideal replacement of florescent tubes in Poster Boards and Street Furniture. The “Ghost Bands” which are normally so evident with the use of florescent tubes can be eliminated. 4. Provides a constant uniform illumination and is free from flickering which is associated with conventional tube. 5. RoHS compliant and no associated cost in its disposal compared to other lighting sources which contain mercury and other heavy metals.

QuarterLites Applications: a)Backlit on Poster Boards and Street Furniture b)Backlit on Canister Channels Letters c)Backlit for Acrylic and Vinyl sign faces

The poster unit on the right is backlit using the conventional florescent tubes which normally produces the unpleasant “ghost bands” while the poster on the left is backlit using the Quarterlite giving the clear, crispy and yet uniformly lit appearance at 40% of the power required

The above pictures show the even and uniform illumination of the overhead menu boards used in a fast food chain using Quarterlites.

TILELITE

TILELITE - ideal for replacement of incandescent and fluorescent lamp

Overview • • • •

TileLite is designed with incandescent and fluorescent lighting replacement programme Designed for high quality and energy efficient illumination of rooms and hallways in Offices, Hospitals, Hotels, Houses and Apartments Exceptional energy saving via a luminaire that has zero maintenance and long lifespan Unique nature of the output beam provides for superb task area lighting and includes by design illumination ‘washing’ of nearby walls and ceiling surfaces in line with current lighting best practice. (E.g. A 3m² dimension can be easily illuminated using just two luminanz tilelite with a low power consumption.)

Features •

TileLite can be set into an energy saving operational mode, wherein an integral PIR movement sensor can be used to automatically increase or dim the room illumination depending upon room occupancy. TileLite comes complete with its own integral driver and controller that provides for a direct connection to your 230V main power supply.
