What is Tui Na? Tui Na is an ancient form of bodywork massage, that originated in China and has been used for over 2000 years. Directly translated to english “tui” meaning push and “na” meaning grasp.

History of Tui Na ▪This Chinese type of massage has been used since 1700 B.C.E. ▪It’s an external type of treatment referred to as anmo ▪Originally used to treat various children’s diseases, as well as digestive complications ▪In 700 CE Tui Na was being taught in The Imperial Medical College

The Technique of Tui Na

▪Encourages the flow of Qi ▪It’s an external technique ▪It’s a type of deep tissue massage to stimulate acupunture points ▪Involves using various parts of the body to apply pressure

The ancient practise of Tui Na

Benefits/Limitations ▪Leaves client feeling energized and improves mental health ▪Helps treat many disorders such as soft tissue injuries to many other kinds of ailments ▪Relieves syptoms from stress
