1.) Human as independent individual Philosophical concept: Existentialism by John Paul Sartre Nursing theory: Parse’s of human becoming theory  Parse’s of human becoming theory focuses on the quality of life as it is described and lived. The human becoming theory of nursing presents an alternative to both the conventional bio-medical approach as well as the bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach of most other theories and models of nursing. Parse's model rates quality of life from each person's own perspective as the goal of the practice of nursing. It is related to John Paul Sartre’s theory in a way that "existence precedes essence". His state of existence precedes his state of becoming. An individual is responsible for making himself into an essence and of lifting himself beyond the level of mere existence. This is where choice and action comes in.

2.) Human being as novice to expert Philosophical concept: Buddhism by Siddharta Gautama Nursing theory: Benner’s theory from novice to expert  Everything is transient, nothing is permanent. I want to discuss that everything takes a process. Just like in Nursing, it is a step by step process to learn something new and after practicing, we’ll become expert in the things we used to do.

3.) Human being experiencing gender inequality / stereotyping Philosophical concept: Feminism by Beauvoir and Lloyd Nursing theory: Gilligan’s of moral development and gender related to Erikson and Freud’s Theory  To present feminism in the field of nursing that leads to gender inequality. That males has greater IQ than women. And when it comes to heavy lifting in the field of nursing men can do it better. In reality however, male nurses use lifting aids as often as female nurses
