Message from the President “Listen to your dreams – those are the sounds no one else can hear.” ~ Kobi Yamada As a new year begins for TLE, it is time to turn our dreams into actions. These dreams are yours alone, but, often, to come true, they need to be shared. You may want to be able to read stories to your grandchildren, to prepare a

family budget, or to use a computer. If you are an adult education student, you may need help to pass your courses. As a volunteer, you want to share your students’ dreams so they do come true. Success comes with commitment, determination, and effort. It comes with sharing your dreams and working to achieve them. I wish that all your dreams for the coming year may come true.

The photo/storybook of Jules Verne’s Storytime Festival last May was dedicated in loving memory to Beth Green

Over the summer, I used www.mypublisher.com to create a very special photo/story book dedicated in loving memory of Beth Green. The book is the product of children's collaborative writing and storytelling done during the Jules Verne Storytime

Festival last May put on by TLE’s family literacy team with funding from Merck Frosst Employees’ Charity Trust Fund. One copy of the book will be donated to Jules Verne’s library while another copy will be available at TLE’s library for viewing. Extra copies of the book were ordered for anyone who may be interested in purchasing one for

Karen’s Office News Hope everyone had a great summer. It did go by fast. I was fortunate enough to spend some time in the States with my sister and we had beautiful weather during my stay. It is great to be back and I am looking forward to another school year. Page 2
