They can be mounted anywhere on the wall and create a seamless transition between kitchen and living room in open-plan designs. The shelves are available in nine different carcase finishes. Premium 1’s unique product design and innovative look brings order to the inside of kitchen units. Side panels and back panels of drawers and pull outs are made of metal lacquered in brilliant white. Carousel shelves and baskets have a stylish gloss chrome rail. Servosoft damping, full pull outs and sturdy Arena shelves come as standard.

Premium 2 provides the perfect framework for fine cutlery and exquisite cookware. Add-ons made of transparent glass or metal extend the sides of the pull outs and therefore keep the contents more secure. Internal organisation system Cross-Line, which received the reddot design award 2007, gives you the freedom to choose how you use your drawers and pull outs. Dividers made of metal and lacquered in brilliant white as well as cherry containers allow you to divide up storage areas however you wish. Red felt or grey rubber inserts can form a base for these.

Some kitchen manufacturers don’t give you a choice. But we think that your kitchen should be designed to fit you, not the other way round. That’s why ALNO has such an extensive range for you to choose from.

Individuality.

As a manufacturer of branded kitchens, ALNO offers more than just a kitchen in your favourite colour. With our numerous options in terms of interior fittings, we allow you to organise everything in your very own way. And even the unit models fit in with your life in terms of their height, width and depth. For example, there are the base units with drawers and pull outs in nine different widths. The smallest is only 30 cm wide, the largest is impressively spacious at 120 cm wide. You can choose a depth of 45, 60 or 75 cm. If you choose the 75 cm deep unit, you will have up to 27 % more storage space and 25 % more work surface.

Good organisation is half the work. And what you need for that is sturdy drawers and pull outs with cleverly arranged interiors.

Drawers and pull outs.

ALNO drawers and pull outs come as full pull outs as standard. That way you can always see all the contents every time you open them and you have easy and unrestricted access from above. Drawer inserts and a practical pull out organisation system ensure that everything is tidy on the inside.

Cross-Line is an individual cutlery insert. It has dividers made of brilliant white lacquered metal and containers made of cherry so that the drawers can be organised according to requirements. Inserts are also available in high-gloss brilliant white plastic, neutral grey plastic or stainless steel – to match the Premium interior design range. The beech drawer insert with removable stainless steel and glass containers is the best place to store spices and food products.

There is room in every pull out. How much and for what is up to you. In the beech Vario inserts, you can adjust the dividers depending on the size of the plates and pans. The pull out organisation system with adjustable and removable plastic containers offers several different storage levels. Whatever you want to tidy away – drinks crates or a thin baking tray – ALNO has the right pull out solution.

Drinks, oil and vinegar are securely stored in this base unit with bottle basket and internal pull out. The pull out directly under the sink is the ideal place for washing-up liquids and household aids. Even collecting and sorting recyclables is organised in an ALNO kitchen: with the XXL or XXXL waste separation system.

| Tip-on fitting

Units with Premium fittings have Servosoft damping so that drawers and pull outs close softly, quietly and with self-closing, even when they are absolutely full. If you’re really in a hurry, unit doors spring shut. But with hinged door damping, you can carry on in peace. It absorbs the swing so that the door closes quietly. You don’t need a special hinge, the damping mechanism just clips on easily. A number of base units can be optionally fitted with Servodrive. You only need to touch them gently and the drawers and pull outs will open electronically. They can be stopped in any position, and they are closed like normal units. With the Tip-on fitting, hinged doors on base, wall and side units can be opened with a fingertip. This is not only convenient, but also opens up new design perspectives: if you combine the Servodrive and the Tipon fitting, you don’t need any handles in your kitchen.

A look at the inner qualities of the ALNO unit systems gives you a view of a clearly organised kitchen that is convenient to use on a day-to-day basis.

Practical and convenient: the side units with tandem fittings or transparent internal pull outs help to give you an overview and good access for storing food. This walk-in storage unit can be made into a larder. With the right fixtures, there is also space for a broom and a vacuum cleaner.

With ALNO unit solutions, you can make use of every corner. Heavy household aids are stored in the walk-in storage unit with sliding door. Food and drinks crates are placed in the side unit with hinged door. There are various options in the wall and base units for pans and crockery. If you want to make a feature of the corner, carousel shelf units with curved or diagonal doors create an all-round tidy appearance. The wall unit with shelves and two doors maintains the 90° angle like the carousel base unit.

Magic Corner base and wall units have a surprising amount of space: a clever mechanism allows every last corner of space to be used and thus opens up 38 % more storage space. We have had a passion for building good kitchens for over 75 years, and we know what’s important: first-rate materials, skilled craftsmanship, technical precision. We control every stage in the creation of each ALNO branded kitchen, from receipt of goods to final installation. Unit base panels are tested for resistance to bending. Fittings technology undergoes strict stress tests. Surfaces have to pass the abrasion test and prove their resistance to chemicals. Our quality management system, which has been perfected over the years, ensures a high level of production. And some pieces of furniture are even finished off by us by hand. You need good lighting when you are working in the kitchen. The ALNO lighting systems are also design features. They create highlights, draw attention and provide atmosphere.

Lighting systems.

The glass door unit with integrated light shelf gives off light in two directions. It illuminates the niche and the inside of the unit at the same time. The light panels on the wall create a non-glare working atmosphere in the niche. The clever drawer light switches on as soon as the pull out below is opened. Built-under halogen spotlights provide targeted lighting for the work surface. The slimline built-under LED light is not only a source of artificial light, but is also an almost artistic light installation.

Niche concepts.

The vertical Safelift can be incorporated behind wall units and, when pulled down into the niche using the handle, offers personalised function. Medicines can be stored in the Safelift “medicine”, electricial appliances in the Safelift “energy”. The Safelift “cook” with its knife block is handy for cooking. The Safelift “universal” can be used to store absolutely anything.

The mobile, multifunctional ALNO niche components enable you to have everything to hand, right where you need it. The splashback made of safety glass can be used to cover a component when it is not in use, and is attractive and easy to clean. The niche modules made of magnetic stainless steel have a very clean and simple shape. They can be joined by a knife block made of solid cherry and have plate and cup holders with matching white china cups as well as glass storage surfaces and double hooks.

Form and function.

In the add-on units with roller shutters in aluminium or stainless steel-look, all those things that you need frequent access to can be tidied away so that they are always easily accessible. Wall units with glass Softlift or upward-folding doors are also ideal for small kitchens. They open and close effortlessly thanks to modern fittings and damping technology.

Sinks and fixtures.

The sink is a central area in the kitchen. Most of the work takes place here, both before and after a meal. And don’t forget that sinks and fixtures are character pieces. They must fit in with the ambiance of the kitchen in terms of their shape, colour and material. There is a choice of stainless steel or corian. For perfectionists, the sink becomes a stylish multifunctional zone – with a strainer for the basin, cutting board and waste bowl.

LIBERO.

LIBERO brings light, gloss, colour and transparency to all HOME and LIFESTYLE kitchens. The “zoom” units with roller shutters made of frosted or clear glass are shining examples of just how simple it is to create space. The “corner” units with satined glass doors and coloured lighting make a great end to a run of units. The “window” side unit hides more than is apparent at first glance. It is enclosed in a stylish display cabinet, which when opened reveals a huge amount of storage space.

The “screen” wall unit enables you to keep up with what is going on in the world or on your favourite TV series. It has an ad notam 17-inch flat screen on the back of its glass or mirrored door. The picture is flawless, and the sound is transmitted through flat speakers. The whole of the inside of the unit can be used for storage. Whether it has a white or black glass door or a mirrored door – “screen” is the future of kitchens.

The “tower” corner side unit is a real highlight in any kitchen design. It is lighting with a practical function: the carousel shelves are ideally suited for storing food. The “window” and the “jumbo” base unit, which won the reddot design award 2005, both offer an impressive amount of storage space.

long Island is an exceptionally appealing invitation to cook, chat and have fun together. The cooking table can be integrated in the kitchen or free standing. The fixed stainless steel cooking block incorporates a tabletop coated or veneered on both sides that can be pushed in either direction or turned over, making it easy to alter your work and living environment.

Unit doors, glass doors and the niche in an ALNO kitchen can be printed according to your wishes: with your own personal motif from your private photo collection. The Picture Line doors are sealed with lacquer, are fully durable and are quick and easy to replace if required.

The base unit makes fetching drinks easy. It keeps the bottles readily to hand in its crate pull out. The crates are also kept secure during opening and closing thanks to the narrow pull out frame. Your fourlegged friends will love this base unit with feeding area. Hygienic stainless steel bowls can be put in the plinth tray, and there is space for pet food on the levels above.

Height-adjustable wall units help you with your work. They are operated electronically and swivel outwards as they are lowered. The niche turn table and the adjustable magnetic lights in the base of the wall units can be incorporated wherever you need them. Base units with pull-out seat or table make things comfortable for you. In small kitchens they also provide extra space for working and relaxing.

Ergonomie.

Is it important to you to have short work surfaces and therefore only short distances between work zones? If so, the best place for the dishwasher is next to the unit where you keep your crockery. Electrical appliances built in at a higher level make things easy on your back, and the storage space should be comfortable to use as well: Drawers and pull outs in base units that can be pulled out fully provide easy access to the furthest corner of the units. Wall units with folding, lifting and flap doors mean that there is nothing in the way of your head even when they are open.

Getting the right working height is an important part of the design process. It must be adjusted to your body size. ALNO makes this possible with four different standard plinth heights and a variety of unit heights. Different heights within a run of units make ergonomic sense. The ALNO base units are based on a 13 cm modular system and are available in five module heights for the lowered cooking area and in six module heights for food preparation and washing up. The ideal niche height is 48 cm.

Planning tips.

Modern kitchen design is individual, unconventional and simple with ALNO. With full creative freedom, in addition to room dimensions, windows, doors, electricity and water connections, there are also a few other basic things to consider in your plans. The most important thing is how you arrange the central work areas in the kitchen – washing up, cooking and refrigeration. The established principles are: one or two runs of units are extremely beneficial in a small space. L- and U-shaped kitchens work well in any size space. Base units • No need for base units with carousel doors. Drawers and pull outs are the ergonomic alternative which will save all that painful bending. • Full pull outs can be pulled out all the way so that you get a clear view of all the contents and you can access them easily. • Choose corner base units with carousel shelves or swivel-mounted shelves, so that you don’t have to stretch to reach into the furthest corner.

island kitchen Storage space • You need enough storage space. So don’t waste any space, use corners, the area under the sink and plinth drawers. • Extra-deep, extra-high or extra-wide units create additional space. • Think about functional interior fittings. If the interior is tidy, you can fit more in.

Wall units • Make sure you have plenty of room to move, especially in small kitchens. Roller shutter units and wall units with flap, lifting or folding doors can be opened in a space-saving manner and ensure that there is sufficient headroom. Tall units

Electrical appliances • Don’t make life in the kitchen any harder than it already is. Fridge, microwave, oven and dishwasher can easily be installed at a higher level. • Have you thought of everything? Extractor hood, freezer, hob…? Architecture • If you are designing a kitchen along one wall, you can bring life and simplicity to a run of units with shelves and by combining different unit heights and depths. • Neutral glass units or LIBERO feature furniture create variety and transparency. • With mobile and flexible units, for example base units on wheels or a cooking table, you can change the layout of the room at any time. • Stylish shelf systems and individual shelves are ideal for open-plan room designs. They create a seamless transition between the kitchen and the living room.

• Units with pull outs or internal pull outs are also more ergonomic here. Walk-in tall units are an alternative.
