Timeless Money Secrets Part 3 The Power of Residual or Passive Income The Secret #3 of money is residual or passive income. There are two basic kinds of income: earned income and passive income. Earned income is the money that comes to you as wages or salary, the money you earn by exchanging your time and effort for money.
The problem with earned income is that the day you stop working your income dries up. You may have good cars, travel abroad every month and so on but one way to tell whether you are truly rich is to ask yourself, “If I stopped working today, how long can I continue living in my current lifestyle before I run out of money?” Never Ending Income
Residual income comes to you without your effort and physical presence. It allows you to plant once and reap a thousand more times. For example, Professor Chinua Achebe wrote the book, “Things Fall Apart” 51 years ago but he is still receiving royalties on the book. Last year, the book celebrated its 50 years of success around the world. Prof. Achebe will still be earning income from that book after he dies. B o b M a r l e y died almost 30 years ago but last year he earned $7 million. Michael Jackson died too soon but he is still earning hundreds of millions from the grave, to the chagrin of those who persecuted him unfairly while he was alive.
If you could use your mind creatively, there is no limit to the amount of money you can earn in life or death. How would you like to leave millions of dollars for your children’s children?
Watch Ogbo on Silverbird TV (DsTV Channel 131) every Wednesday between 7:30 and 8:00 am
If you do not have passive income, you are not rich. Period. If you do yet finance your lifestyle from passive income, you are not far from financial difficulties. The loss of your job can end it all.
King Solomon said, “A good man leaves inheritance for his children’s children.”
Sources of Passive and Residual Income How can you begin to build real wealth? What are the sources of passive income you could begin to add to your wealth portfolio? We usually discuss 17 achievable sources of residual income at the Financial Intelligence coaching classes. Some of them include online businesses, stocks, real estate, copyright materials, intellectual property and network marketing.

December Coaching Classes People are used to seminars but not coaching. Often, when you attend seminars you return home with tons of manuals but your finances, career, business, marriage or health remain the same. It happened to me so many times until I experienced the power of coaching by Robert Kiyosaki’s RichDad company.
Seminars and workshops give you great information but coaching uses cognitive techniques that bring out the best in you. Our coaching classes are 30% lectures and 70% life changing exercises. You leave each coaching class with a bl u e p r i n t o f a c t i o n s fo r improving your finances, career,
relationships and health. It is better experienced than discussed.
