A letter from an unheard voice Dear Human Beings, I’m a farm animal raised for your food. I want to talk to you while I am still alive. Do you know how we would like to be like you, running under the
But most of us live an entire life of suffering in factory farms, without any freedom to do what we want. Our life is completely in your hands – you, the human beings.
Have you ever asked yourself: how do we live? It is nothing about love, peace, happiness, comfort and healthy; instead, there are only stress, fight, suffering, torture, cruelty, disease and killing!

Factory farming Factory farming is the practice of raising farm animals in large warehouses with confinement at high density in order to produce the highest output at the lowest cost. Being crammed into filthy confinement systems, these
• In factory farms, drugs are often added to the food of animals to make them grow faster, larger and to keep them alive in conditions that would otherwise kill them. These additives include antibiotics, pesticides, growth hormones, chemical additives, colorants and other drugs.

Chickens Chickens are bred and drugged to grow so large so quickly that their legs, organs cannot keep up, causing heart attacks, organ failure. Many become crippled under their own weight and die eventually because they can’t reach the water nozzles
In order to keep the hens from pecking one another out of frustration in the crowded cages, chicks have a part of their sensitive beak sliced off with a burning-hot blade without any pain relief; many are not able to eat due to the pain and die from dehydration and a weakened immune system.

In the U.S., cows are fed with powerful hormones and forced to produce about 10 TIMES as much milk as they naturally would.
Calves are generally taken from their mothers upon birth, causing mother cows extreme suffering. They are confined to tiny crates, chained by the neck to keep them almost completely immobilized so that their flesh stays tender. They are fed a diet low in iron with little liquid nutritive value in order to make their flesh white. Frightened, sick, and alone, they are killed after only
Fish • Modern fishing technology was built to catch as many fish as possible at the expense of the collapse of marine species and the health of ocean ecosystems. • 90% of large fish populations have been exterminated in the past 50 years.
