THE REAL TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH WHO ARE YOU? Nachash Lets examine one of the most misunderstood and perhaps -- to most Christians -confusing verses of Scripture: "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel,"Gen. 3:15. This is generally said to mean that there would be enmity between Eve's 'seed' -- and the 'serpent's seed,' which is usually taken to be descriptive of "Satan the devil." Before we continue, please take a moment to read the entire second and third chapters of Genesis. This portion of scripture, of course, deals with the sin of Eve, and Adam's falling into the same sin. At a first glance, it might appear that the story we were taught as children is factual -- that is, a snake tricked Eve into eating a forbidden apple, and then gave her husband a bite of that same forbidden fruit. Back in the previous chapter, in verses 16 and 17, "Yahweh God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." It seems rather unusual, to me at least, that Yahweh would put so much importance upon such a seemingly insignificant thing of whether or not a particular fruit was allowed for consumption. Likewise, His eventual punishment for this act would seem rather strange if it was indeed the consumption of fruit, that this passage details. Certainly, it is beyond doubt that Yahweh has inspired into His Word many parables and riddles, and a lot of symbolism. There are many passages that use words that appear to have no relevance to the topic at hand, but are instead used metaphorically. In addition to our Saviour's numerous parables, one entire book of the Bible is written in such a manner, the Book of Canticles (also called the Song of Solomon). This beautiful piece of poetry is in one sense descriptive of the splendid love between a man and his wife, and is replete with rather graphic symbolism, using such words as 'rose,' 'dove,' 'myrrh,' amongst other illustrative idioms, which obviously stir feelings of romance when read. One verse that is especially relevant to our topic is found in the second chapter of Canticles, verse three: "As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste." Obviously, what the poet speaks of here is not a literal tree, nor an apple in the sense of a piece of fruit. The symbolic nature of the context very cleary affords this a much different meaning! It is worth noting here the Hebrew words used. "Tree" in this passage is Strong's #6086, 'ets.' "Fruit" is the word 'peri,' which is Strong's #6529. When we take another look at Gen. 2:17, and all other passages under consideration right now, we find the exact same words being used in the original Hebrew. Could it not be possible that "tree" as used in the Genesis account of Adam and Eve's sin is likewise symbolic? The following host of passages would confirm that, I believe. Please take a few moments to read the following compendium of verses, all of which use "trees" to metaphorically refer to persons: Judges 9:8-15; Psalm 96:12, 104:16; Song of Solomon 2:3 (as we read above); Isaiah 10:19, 44:23, 55:12, 56:3; Ezekiel 17:24, 31:5, 31:9, 31:14-18; Matthew 3:10, 7:17-19, 12:33; Mark 8:24; Luke 3:9, 6:43 & 44; Jude 1:12; Revelation 2:7, 7:1 & 3, 22:2, 22:14 and 23:31. In all, no less than fifty allegorical references to persons symbolized by the word 'tree.' Notice that Yahweh allowed Adam and Eve the freedom to 'partake' or 'eat' freely of "every tree of the garden." Just what other trees were there? Having
established the possibility of the tree being symbolic of a person, we find our answer in the eighth verse of Genesis chapter two; Yahweh had planted but one 'tree' in the garden, that being Adam. Later he formed a mate for the Man, of his very own flesh and bone, thus we might say that were now two 'trees' in the garden. Already we see how sanctified and special the marriage bond is between a man and woman, as Yahweh told Adam that he "shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh," (2:24). The observation that "they were both naked, the man and his wife, and they were not ashamed" (v. 25) also bears importance too, as we shall soon see. With just these two persons (referred rather obvious that Adam and Eve were the original Hebrew, the word 'every' simply told the Man and his wife that might say.
to as 'trees') in the garden, it seems alone being referred to as 'every tree'. In doesn't actually appear though. Yahweh they may 'eat' of 'the (other) tree', one
But wait, for there is another 'tree' mentioned, who was in the garden. It is never simply referred to as a tree, but this one has a special designation: "the tree of the knowing of good and the knowing of evil." Please make a mental note, as this too will be an important piece of knowledge as we solve this divine puzzle. Adam and Eve were especially forbidden from having anything to do with this 'tree of the knowing (knowledge) of good and evil.' They were not to touch nor eat of it. What then does "eat" mean here? This may come as a surprise to many, but the word "akal" means much more than our English word 'eat.' This Hebrew word, used idiomatically has meanings much deeper than the consumption and digestion of food. In many ancient Hebrew writings, the word was used to mean 'to gain satisfaction from.' The application of the word "akal" in the romantic Song of Solomon carries these same overtones of a sexual nature. An even more explicit statement in support of this comes from the book of Proverbs, 30:20: "Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness." Having found these pieces of the puzzle, we begin to see a very interesting and intriguing picture emerge. Before we take a look at our picture though, let us jump ahead a few verses to Genesis 3:16, where we see the punishment meted out on Eve for her sin; "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." Being a just and right Father, Yahweh always chastises and punishes with penalties that fit the crime. The penalties laid on Eve are clearly related to pro-creation and co-habitation. What sin could possibly merit such punishments? Sexual sins? Why was the point made that Eve's 'desire' or 'longing' (again, a term used with amorous overtones, as we cannot try to ignore. The dictionary definition of "desire" is: sexual appetite, passion; [American Heritage Dictionary, Standard Edition]) shall be toward her husband? Was that not the original intention anyway? Indeed, just as it was Yahweh's intention for the husband to "rule over" the wife. But seeing as how Eve had forsaken Yahweh's order of things, Yahweh re-inforced the seriousness of that command. Yahweh blessed Adam with a wife -- flesh of his flesh and bone of his bones -- such that they may cleave (adhere faithfully and fully) to one another and become one flesh. Yahweh saw that His creation needed companionship and love, and when He saw that it was not good for a Man to be alone (Gen. 2:18), out of His loving kindness and supreme grace, He gave the Man a lifetime companion; one whom he would love more than anyone else in the world (2:24, 25). The divine plan was plainly that the man and wife have desire toward one another, unashamedly.
Now, having laid the foundation , let's see what Eve's sin was exactly. We pick up the story in Genesis 3:1: Now the serpent was more subtil than any (other) beast of the field which Yahweh had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath Yahweh said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, Yahweh hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For Elohim doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil [In pagan religions, sex is often the focal point of these abominable heathen cults. Babylonish pagan cults all focused on sex, and phallic worship, with the belief that by engaging in religious sexual rites -- which often included temple prostitutes, both male and female -- the adherents to these false relgions could assume god-like qualities; "knowing" or experiencing good and evil; the "good" in these cults being ritual sex]. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of Yahweh Our Father walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh amongst the trees of the garden. (Genesis 3:1-8) We need to know what or who this "serpent" was, who tricked Eve into disobeying Yahweh. The word translated 'serpent' is 'nachash' , Strong's #5175. While it can indeed mean a literal snake, and it is used to mean this in a number of other passages, we also want to carefully recognize other metaphorical meanings of "Nachash." When one thinks of the traits of a serpent, craftiness, trickery, and the like quickly come to mind. Discerning that Yahweh compares other persons in scripture to animals (throughout the Song of Solomon, for example; other animals who are used to symbolize people include: eagles, lions, fish, bull, deer, wolf, horse, and others) it appears that the serpent of Genesis 3 was in all reality, a man who had the attributes of the serpent, namely he was tricky and deceptive. This man was obviously one of the Gen. 1-created persons; moreover, he was tricker and craftier than any other "beast of the field" The Nachash (deceptive man) tricked Eve into...eating an apple? No. He tricked her into partaking of (receiving pleasure or satisfaction from) the tree of knowing of good and knowing of evil. This name though is unusual. "Tree of knowing"...knowing what? This identical word "knowing" is used not much later in Genesis 4:1, "Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived..." This is obviously much more than just "knowing." It is cleary sexual relations that are spoken of in Genesis 4:1, and the same meaning must be applied to the "tree of knowing." Now, gathering all of our pieces to the first divine puzzle of Scripture, and assembling our knowledge gained thus far, we see that: Eve gained sexual satisfaction from (through carnal relations with) this man known as Nachash. The "knowledge" (act of co-habitation) imparted by this deceptive and lying man was a knowledge -- or experience -- of the first carnal sin. After having engaged in such relations with the Nachash, Eve full well realized the pleasure and desirability of the act (which was of course intended only and exclusively for a man and woman brought together into a marriage relationship), so she desired to introduce her husband to it as well. After this experience, both the man and his wife suddenly did 'know' something:
they became ashamed of their nakedness, which they promptly tried to cover and hide (you'll remember from Gen. 3:7 they made aprons to cover that particular portion of their bodies). Let's pick up with the Scriptural account, in Genesis 3:9: And Yahweh called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? [This revelation was a result of the 'knowledge'] Hast thou eaten [gained satisfaction from] of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree [note that Adam simply says 'the tree,' as the tree of which Adam 'partook' was not the forbidden one, but his wife], and I did eat. And Yahweh said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The Serpent [Nachash, deceptive man] beguiled [note this word, beguiled] me, and I did eat. And Yahweh said unto the Serpent [Nachash], Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, [animals] and above every (other) beast of the field upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee., (Genesis 3:9-16). Once Yahweh was aware of the sin Eve had committed, and then imparted to Adam (by the way, Adam himself never directly sinned. This is not implied, literally or figuratively, anywhere here) that same 'knowledge,' He confronted them. They were, at this time, ashamed of their nakedness -- contrary to the perfect plan of Yahweh. Eve's sexual relations with Nachash and subsequently with Adam brought on this consequence, first upon the woman, then her husband. Because of the disobedience and grave sin committed, Yahweh punished all involved. First, He chastised Nachash. Nachash's punishment was that he would "go on his belly all the days of his life, and eat dust." Idiomatically speaking, Nachash was to become a vagabond, a nomad of sorts. But that wasn't the extent of his punishment. Nachash had committed a very serious transgression, in that he deceived Eve, and stole something from her that could never be replaced -- her innocence and virginity. Yahweh's own special people -- whom he created especially for fellowship with Him, and for lifelong companionship with one another -- had been defrauded in the most vile way possible. Eve says that Nachash 'beguiled' her. Let it be known that this Hebrew word's (asn) only possible meaning is in a sexual context, one of seduction. (This verb, in this particular conjugation, is used just this once in scripture.) Stealing from Eve her purity was no small thing. The implications and catastrophic results of his deceit were unremovable, thus his punishment -- which was designed to fit the crime -- was also inflicted upon him and his 'seed' for all times. Verse fifteen of Genesis 3 states that for all times there would be animosity, enmity between Nachash's 'seed' and Adam and Eve's 'seed.' The word for seed is indicative of the descendents of the parties involved in this situation. It means 'progeny' or 'offspring,' and is Strong's #2233 (erz). In the New testament, its Greek parallel is "sperma," (Strong's #4690) whose meaning should be readily discernable. Make no doubt about it, here we are talking about literal seedlines -- one, of Adam and Eve; the other, the progeny of Nachash (the Serpent man). Just as with Eve and Adam, the Nahcash-man (who was Satan incarnate) was told he would have a seedline. Yahweh also stated that the two seedlines or groups of people would forever be at odds, always harboring feelings of animosity toward the
other. Seeing as how one seedline was pure evil, and the other one of Yahweh, it is only natural that such enmity would exist, as Amos 3:3 declares, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" and 2 Corinthians 6:14, "What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" You see, the Nachash -- this wicked one -- was rebellious toward Yahweh, and thus tried to counterfeit what Yahweh had created just and good. While only Yahweh Almighty can create, Nachash knew that he could pro-create (this is one way that he tricked Eve into thinking she could become like Yahweh, by the ability to procreate) and thus he did so, which accounts for the "seed" mentioned in Genesis 3:15. Having progressed this far, if we are to have a complete understanding on the subject, we owe it to ourselves to find out who the Nachash's progeny is, where they are, how they came about, etc. Without this information, all of what we've learned thus far is not totally useful. Friends, we are in the midst of unraveling a most interesting and most important mystery of the Kingdom. WHO AND WHAT IS NACHASH? It has been brought to my attention many times, that there are preachers and teachers in the world who don't recognize there are literal children of Satan surviving in the world today. Since this is one of the central themes of the Bible, the fight for supremacy between the children of Yahweh and the children of nachash, I wonder what Bible these preachers and teachers are reading and studying. In these studies we will be using the proper name of our God, which is Yahweh. For documentation read, "Who Is Your God? The battle lines are drawn by Yahweh in Genesis 3:15, where He states he is going to put enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. Let's start at the beginning; of course nachash/Satan wasn't a serpent. The entity that deceived and seduced Eve wasn't a scaly thing wriggling along on the ground. Serpent was translated from the word nachash, which means enchanter or magician. A fallen angel, still retaining a lot of his angelic powers, no doubt could be very much of an enchanter or magician. Lucifer's children, and I do mean children not just followers, through the centuries used a serpent as a symbol or emblem of their ancestor, until they attached a secondary meaning of serpent to the word nachash. In Genesis 3:1-3 nachash/Satan said to Eve, "Is it really true that Yahweh said, You can't eat of any tree in the garden?" As it reads in the Hebrew, Eve replied to nachash/Satan, "And the woman said unto the enchanter, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden". Now I am going to switch to the King James translation and I will correct it as I go. "Of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." Let's see what it actually said in the Hebrew. Fruit is the Hebrew word pirchach, meaning progeny, brood, children or descendants. Do you talk about the children of a walnut tree or an apple tree? Of course you don't! Of the pirchach, of the descendants of the tree, which is in the midst of the garden, Yahweh has said, "Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it". That word touch is the Hebrew word naga, which is a more polite expression meaning, to have sexual intercourse with. Do you need to be warned not to have sexual intercourse with an apple? Of course not, it isn't that kind of a tree. Yahweh had millions of the pre Adamic, Asiatic and African people around. If He just wanted somebody wide between the shoulders and narrow between the eyes to spade up the garden, He had them. He didn't have to create a special being for that purpose. Satan had been the governor of this planet until he forfeited the right to this position by rebellion. Yahweh sent Adam here and it is recorded, Adam was the son of Yahweh. It doesn't record that about any of these pre Adamic people mentioned in Genesis chapter 1. Adam was the son of Yahweh and Yahweh sent Adam here to take
over by force, kick Satan out and govern this planet. The trees in the Garden of Eden were the family trees of nations and races. Adam and Eve weren't supposed to intermingle with these people. If Negroes and Asiatics were all that Yahweh wanted, He already had them. What He created was a different and separate being who was to be a different sort of person, whom the Negroes and Asiatics could never produce. The Hebrew word Awdawm, which we translate Adam, means of a rosy, fair complexion. Adam was the first person of a specifically created new race. Adam and Eve were told not to mongrelize their race with these per Adamic people that were in the world. When you come to Genesis 3:13, Yahweh has called Adam, Eve and Satan before Him to give an accounting of their misdeeds. According to the King James Bible Eve said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat thereof". Here again is the Hebrew word nachash, meaning enchanter. Then there is the use of the word beguiled; the Hebrew word there is nawshaw, which means seduced. Beguiled means no more than deceived. Somebody who sells you some mining stock in a mine that doesn't have any good ore in it, beguiles you. The word nawshaw means seduced, not in any way or sense can it mean beguiled. "And Yahweh God said unto the woman, what is this thou hast done? And the woman said, the enchanter seduced me." This is what it says in the Hebrew and Cain was the product of this seduction. In reply in Genesis 3:15 Yahweh says to Satan, "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed". The same word zehra was used for both the seed of Satan and the seed of Eve. Zehra literally means seed; there is no other meaning. It also could be used as grains of wheat but it is used throughout the Bible as meaning the descendants of a person. Satan was to have just as literal children in this world as Eve was to have. The same word zehra is used for Satan's seed and Eve's seed. The reply of the churchianity preachers is usually to quote Genesis 4:1. "And Adam knew his wife, and she conceived and bare Cain." Notice that what is not said is more significant that what is said, the Bible nowhere says Adam begat Cain. As you have read in the Old Testament, the monotonous regularity with which it always says, and so and so begat whosis and whosis begat what's his name and what's his name begat somebody else, and so on. It was important to know your ancestry in those days, because you didn't get your citizenship for two box tops and a dime. You got citizenship because your ancestors, for over twenty generations, were Israelites and no other way. So Adam knew his wife and she conceived. I can tell you something and I can prove every bit of it by witnesses. I went to a movie one night and the next morning the sun rose in the east. I didn't say the one caused the other. I said two things happened, one happened first and the other happened second. I never said they were cause and effect. The Bible never says there was cause and effect here. If you want further proof of this, go right on to Genesis chapter 5 where you will find the list of Adam's descendants. Cain's name is nowhere to be found. Neither Cain nor Abel is mentioned among the descendants of Adam. If you say Abel might have been omitted because he was probably killed before he left any descendants of his own, we don't really know. However, this isn't true of Cain because the Bible traces Cain's descendants for six generations, naming them right down the line. Never once does it record that Cain was a descendant of Adam, never in any way, shape, forms or manner. The first time it records that Adam begat a child is Genesis 5:3. "And Adam lived 130 years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth." This child Adam begat was not named Cain it was named Seth. The satanic bloodline crept in through Cain, possibly earlier, among the pre Adamic people. There were pre Adamic people who were not necessarily satanic. There were some pre Adamic people into whom the satanic bloodline came, and there were even some of the descendants of Adam who probably mongrelized. In fact, it is evident they did mix their bloodline for the fact that those living around Noah
were wiped out by the flood. The Bible tells us that Noah was perfect in his ancestry, with no mongrelization. He and his family were the ones in the area that were still pure in their bloodlines. This is why the flood wiped out the mongrelized Adamites around Noah. As I documented in "Noah's Flood Was Not Worldwide", this flood did not cover the whole earth as is falsely taught in the churches of today. The pure descendants of Adam multiplied and then you come to the fact of the satanic bloodline getting in there. Remember, Yahweh had announced His purpose; He was going to take back the world from Satan's domination. Yahweh was going to rule it according to His purposes. He was going to rule it through His children, through the pure descendants of Adam. What would be the obvious move on Satan's part to thwart this plan? The obvious thing to do would be to mongrelize the descendants of Adam, then he could sneer in Yahweh's face and say, "These are my children but where are yours? All these have my blood in them." This is exactly what Satan set out to do. A double race mixing took place here; both the rulers of the pre Adamic races and the fallen angels took wives of the fair Adamic women. It is written with obvious disapproval. The male descendants of Adam were not allowed, by Yahweh's law, to marry anybody but the daughters descended from Adam. If they were marrying within their own racial line in this instance, it couldn't have been spoken of with disapproval. So the beni-ha-elohim are evidently those of the pre Adamic darker races and the fallen angels who followed Satan into rebellion. Greater details of this event are found in the book of Enoch. Go on to Genesis 6:4 where it is speaking of the same subject, again it is botched up in the King James Bible. "There were giants in the earth in those days, and also after that when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men (enowsh) of renown." This is what it says in the Hebrew. "There were nephilim (the fallen ones) in the earth in those days." They were fallen angels. That is what the bible calls them in so many places. Here we have the spreading of the satanic bloodline. Genesis chapter 6 goes on to trace many of these descendants of the fallen angels. You find that all through Palestine, on both sides of the Jordan river, clear down through Mount Seir, the rugged mountain range southeast of the Dead Sea where Esau and his family lived, all through this area there are these various people with the satanic blood in them. There are two different places, one in Isaiah the other in Ezekiel, where it speaks of what it calls a king or a prince. In the one case it speaks of Babylon and the other case of Tyre. Nevertheless it speaks of him in language, which could not possibly apply, to anybody except Satan. Therefore this indicates that at some time or other, Satan had incarnated in the form of these various kings, one king of Babylon and one king of Tyre. Don't think this is so impossible because many times the Old Testament tells of these angels appearing in very solid form. They came and talked with Abraham on several occasions, one of them wrestled with Jacob almost all night. Another of these angels came when the people of Israel were about to cross the Jordan River and take over Palestine. Joshua, making a scouting trip around his camp, saw this armed man standing there in armor and with a sword and Joshua asked, "Are you with us or for the enemy?" And the man said, "I am the captain of the hosts of Yahweh". Let's take Isaiah 14:12-21 and note that these verses could not possibly apply to anyone except to Satan himself. We will quote from the King James Bible. "How art thou fallen from the heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations: for thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north." Lucifer then said, "I'm going to be the ruler over Israel (Yahweh's people). I will ascend
above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High". Yahweh our God then told Lucifer the devil, "Yet thou shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee and consider thee saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms? That made the world a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof, that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them lie in glory, every one in his own house; but thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under foot. Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people; the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned." You could not say this about any kings of Babylon. The only one, who may possibly have failed to get burial and an elaborate tomb, might have been Belshazzar. Belshazzar was nothing but an incompetent drunkard and nobody ever could say of him that he was the one who shook kingdoms and so on. He didn't even rule Babylon, because he was drunk all the time. These passages are speaking of none other than Lucifer. Note how it goes on in Isaiah 14:21. "Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities." The word translated as children is from the Hebrew word Beni meaning sons. Satan obviously was to have children who could be slaughtered, to keep them from multiplying to the point where they would take over and rule the world. Old Testament? I quoted the Bible verses telling that after Cain killed Abel, Cain had been a farmer up to that time, Yahweh said, "Cursed is the ground for your sake. I will not hereafter yield you its strength." Cain's reply was, "My punishment is greater than I can bear. You have driven me off the face of the land, and I'll be a wanderer and a vagabond." Then I went on to say that I suppose you have noticed that the children of Cain are not farmers today. You find them in financial and money lending institutions. I didn't use the forbidden word Jew, I just said the children of Cain. Guess what the Jew censor cut out of my tape! As a Jew he knew exactly whom I was talking about. Yes, they know who they are. The Bible records Cain saying he was being driven out of the land where the descendants of Adam would be. He complained that wherever he went, whomever he met would kill him. In those days there were a lot of places that weren't too hospitable to strangers. If, as the preachers teach, Adam and Eve were the parents of the only people on earth who were these other people? The only other child of Adam and Eve, at this time, was Abel and he was dead. With Cain driven away from Adam and Eve, out into some other part of the earth, who was Cain going to meet that would kill him? Remember, the Bible records Cain very speedily found enough people that with them he built a city. The Bible records these pre Adamite people. Yahweh told Cain He would put a mark on him so the people would recognize him and not kill him. Just what was that mark? Did Yahweh tattoo something on the sole of Cain's foot or where Cain would sit down on it? No, long before any hidden mark could possibly be seen, Cain would have been killed. Yahweh had to put this mark where it was the first thing others would see, He put it in the exact geometrical center of Cain's face. This big Jew nose they have borne ever since, as the sculptured monuments of the ancient empires show. The ancient kings were extremely vain of the conquests they had made. The pharaohs of Egypt, kings of Babylon, Assyria, and Persia, all left elaborately carved monuments telling how they had captured this city or that. They recorded the massacre of so many of its inhabitants and made slaves of the others, plus how much loot they took and so forth. In addition to the inscriptions, there was almost always a carved panel illustrating this, showing some of the captives. Wherever any of these panels showed an Israelite, it is invariably a straight nose
OR FLAT BUT when it comes to jews these so-call Canaanite mix people, it is always a typical hook nosed Jew. The evidence of the Bible, and the evidence of archaeology all show one thing. There is definitely two different seed lines, the satanic seed line and the other seed line of Israel, Yahweh's own children. The King of Tyre ________________________________________ The King of Tyre - Is he the fallen angel some called Satan? An inaccurate assumption often requires other inaccuracies to support it. As a result, the real truth becomes obscure. Scripture is supposed to be the basis for doctrine, but much of what is being taught should really be considered theory, because many doctrines taught in the Modern Churches of Christianity are in fact false, and others, have over many years, become corrupted. When an inaccurate assumption turns into an assumed "fact" and becomes a doctrine taught and promoted in a Church without any solid evidence or Scriptural support, it soon develops into basic deception. The only recourse from such deception is to throw out the doctrine, and diligently examine the facts to obtain the truth. Sometimes this is a slow and tedious process, but it will eventually produce accurate results and the real truth. The research must be thorough, and all participating must be prepared to revise Scriptural versions or translations in order to establish an accurate rendering of the passage(s) in question. This study is prompted by errors permeated by theological miss-understandings about the created being called Satan, where theory is assumed as fact. The lack of careful examination of the Scriptures about this matter of understanding who or what Satan is, is especially noticeable. The passages which are forced to support the theory that Satan is a fallen angel is a real tragedy in the Churches of Modern Christianity, because the result is a complete miss-understanding of several applied Scriptural passages. This has resulted in a corrupt doctrine which perpetuates the error about the created being known as Satan. When YHWH (Yahweh), The Mighty-One, revealed Himself to Moses and had Moses write the Torah, (first five books of the Bible) there was not one single mention of an evil angel named Satan, or evil angels, or for that matter any being that could tempt you in your mind to Transgress the law! In fact the main point of the Torah is to proclaim that there is only one Mighty-One, and that one Mighty-One is "YHWH (Yahweh)," (Ex.20: 2-3,) "I am YHWH (Yahweh) your Mighty-One, which has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other mighty one before Me." (Deut.4:35-39) Unto you it was shown, that you might know that YHWH (Yahweh), He is the Almighty, there is none else beside Him. Know therefore this day, and consider it in your mind, that YHWH (Yahweh) He is the Almighty in heaven above and upon earth beneath: there is none else." Some will say, We believe in the one true Mighty-One, but what does that have to do with our belief in Satan? Just this, "Satan" as portrayed by many of the Modern Christian Churches of the world, by all reasonable accounts, must also be classed as a Mighty-One. First of all, they appear to teach that Satan is omnipresent, meaning (able to be everywhere at once) "Satan" they say, is here tempting you and me on this side of the world, but at the same time is tempting everybody else all over the rest of the world! They believe Satan and his army of evil angels are everywhere tempting every person in the world to follow their evil ways! So they must believe that he or they are tempting more than five billion people every minute of every day! It is certain no humans could do that! But they say, "Satan is a fallen angel." Well let's examine that for a moment. The Scriptures speak of angels (messengers) in several places, but in each and every one of those places there is no indication of "omnipresence." In each instance a messenger could only be in one place at one time. For example, in the book of Daniel an angel (messenger) was to deliver a message to Daniel, but he was delayed for 21 days and he could not come to Daniel because he had to stay with the kings of Persia. (Dan.10:10-14). "And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and
upon the palms of my hands. And he said to me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto you, and stand upright: for unto you am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand, and to chasten yourself before YHWH (Yahweh), your words were heard, and I am come for your words. But the king of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I come (21 days later) to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days." So we see neither man nor angels (heavenly messengers) have the power to be in more than one place at a time! That leaves only one category, the category of Mighty-One! Since the Scriptures teach us there is only one Mighty-One, and that One is YHWH (Yahweh), there is absolutely no room for the false belief in an evil angel, a Mighty-One, called "Satan." Why then, do the scriptures refer to a being called Satan? This is not a difficult question. The scriptures were originally written in Hebrew (the Old Covenant) and in the Greek (the New Covenant). The Hebrew word meaning "adversary" or "accuser" or "opponent" is saw-tawn. This Hebrew word should have been translated into English as "adversary," "the adversary," "an adversary," "accuser," "the accuser," or "opponent," "the opponent." In the Greek Scriptures, the Hebrew word is transliterated into "Sa-tan" with the same exact meaning as the Hebrew. The Hebrew meaning would have been the correct and proper way to translate from one language to another, (render the word as to its meaning in the other language). However, in many cases (but not all) the translators chose to transliterate "saw-tawn" simply meaning adversary, as satan, and then changing the word into a name by using a capital "S" thus the word "saw-tawn" which means "adversary, accuser, or opponent" was turned into a proper name! Saw-tawn in Hebrew and in the Greek is not a proper name! It is simply a word that means adversary, accuser, or opponent! It is not that the translators did not know what they were doing. For example, in the King James Version they rendered the word correctly in a few places see I Sam.29:4; II Sam.19:22; I kings 5:4; and 11:14,23,25. This brings our study to Ezekiel 28, (a passage that speaks of the governor/ruler, king of Tyre) a favorite passage many use on which to base the assumption, that this king of Tyre is in fact a being called Satan, "spoken of in figurative speech." Not being able to distinguish the king as also the "governor/ruler" seems to freeze many minds and prevents further investigation. There is also an unwillingness to search below the surface, and so another query develops: Isn’t the king of Tyre said to be the Anointed Cherub? And, doesn’t it say he was in Eden, the garden of YHWH (Yahweh)? So the assumption is then made that these details in the passage must refer to Satan, (the Serpent) who deceived Eve in the garden of Eden! The correct understanding of the translation of Ezekiel twenty-eight, will only be solved by patience on the part of those who truly seek to sift the facts, not only through the use of a translation, but through the use of the text of the original Hebrew, and the Greek through the LXX where necessary. Truth will not yield to the superficial considerations seeking to ignore or explain away the plain scriptural statement that the Adversary is sinning from the beginning (1 John 3:8). Therefore, before any exegesis is attempted, we must first be certain about the rendering of the text passage under question, or, better still, we must deal directly with the original Hebrew text, with help from the LXX. Against the Governor/Ruler of Tyre 28:1 And the word of YHWH (Yahweh) came to me saying, 'Son of man, say to the Governor [or Ruler] of Tyre, "The Master YHWH (Yahweh) says this: In your arrogance you say, 'I am El; I sit throned like Elohim on the high seas.' Though you are a man and not El,
you try to think the thoughts of Elohim. 3 What? Are you wiser than Daniel? Has no secret been hidden from you? 4 By your wisdom and intelligence you have amassed great wealth for yourself, you have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries. 5 By your skill in trading you have increased your riches, and with your riches your arrogance has grown. 6 Therefore the Master YHWH (Yahweh) says this: Because you try to think the thoughts of Elohim 7 I will bring foreigners against you, the most barbarous of the nations. They will draw sword against your fine wisdom, they will defile your splendor, 8 they will throw you down into the pit to die a death of disgrace on the high seas. 9 Will you still dare to say you are Elohim before your assailant slays you? No, you are a man and not El, in the clutches of your assailants. 10 You will die strengthless, at the hands of foreigners. For I have spoken - it is the Master YHWH (Yahweh) who speaks."' The fall of the King of Tyre 28:11-12 And the word of YHWH (Yahweh) came to me saying, 'Son of man, raise a dirge over the king of Tyre. Say to him, "The Master YHWH (Yahweh) says this: You were once a seal-print [exemplar] of perfection, full of wisdom, perfect in beauty. 13 You came into luxury, a paradise from Elohim, gems of every kind were your covering, Sardin, topaz, diamond, chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, carbuncle, emerald. Your jingling beads were of gold, and the spangles you wore were made for you on the day of your birth. 14 I had provided you with a guardian cherub; you were in the set-apart mountain of Elohim, and you walked proudly among the stones that flashed with fire. 15 You were blameless in all your ways from the day of your birth until iniquity came to light. 16 Your busy trading has filled you with lawlessness and sin, so I thrust you down from the mountain of Elohim, and the guardian cherub banished [or destroyed] you from among the stones that flashed like fire. 17 Your heart has made you arrogant because of your beauty. You have corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. I have thrown you to the ground; I have made you a spectacle for other kings. 18 So great was your sin in your wicked trading, that you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I kindled a fire within you, to consume you. I left you as ashes on the ground for all to see. 19 Of the nations, all who know you were aghast; you became waste, gone forever."' A careful reading of the above translation, compared with the Authorized Version
will reveal many distinct differences. Several of the major statements of the Authorized Version concerning the king of Tyre must go because of error. The way is also opened to consider, not only the changes based on the language of the Hebrew, as compared with the LXX, but also the reason for the 'cherub' spoken of in the passage. This will also provide a better understanding of the cherubim, and the purpose for these beings. To prevent the main purpose of this article from being obscured and lost among the variant details of the above translation, the following paragraphs will discuss important errors in the translation of the Authorized Version of Ezekiel 28: 1-19, and its connection with the real meaning of the Hebrew text. Critical Results A critical examination of the Hebrew, and comparison with the LXX brings out several features that forced us to prepare the above translation. Note: We are not alone in the general understanding of our version for these verses, and the reader is invited to make his own comparison. Even without any knowledge of the Hebrew or the Greek, by comparing various well-accepted translations such as "The Jerusalem Bible" "The New English Version" "The Scriptures" and others, most any one will also come to the same conclusion. Following is a brief explanation of some of the more important changes with the Authorized Version. The word "sealest" of verse twelve of the Authorized Version is not a verb in the Hebrew. It refers to the seal on a signet, and the Authorized Version renders it as such. The Hebrew word rendered "sum" occurs only in one other place viz., Ezekiel 43:10, and in this case the Authorized Version translates it as "pattern," noting "sum or number" in the margin. From Ezekiel 43:10 we begin to understand the difficulty in translating the Hebrew word, which is thknith. The translators were constrained to give a sense to the word agreeable to the context rather than what agrees with the Hebrew word. In the two occurrences of this word, the LXX agrees with the Hebrew thbnith, which signifies model, and is synonymous with the Authorized Version "pattern." The difference between the Hebrew letters k and b is very slight, and those familiar with the Hebrew letters will understand this. An up-to-date example of this may be seen in the index to Wigram's Englishman's Hebrew Concordance where, under the word pattern, thknith of page 1347 is printed thbnith. It looks like we must accept the LXX understanding of this word, because it is also agreeable to the associated word seal-print. The word "covereth" (verse 14) belongs to the word family of OVERSHADOW (Ex. 33: 22), and appears to be after the grammatical form of the piel participle. Without the initial m it is rendered booth, tabernacle, and pavilion in the Authorized Version. We will render the m form as "protect" but supplying the word "guardian" to complete the sense. The other case (verses 13) which is a kal participle, we will continue to render as "covering." Now we turn to another kind of difference, that of the division into sentences. It is well known that both the Hebrew and Greek division into sentences and verses is the work of textual editors, so we are not bound to follow them, provided significant sense is maintained. The Governor is also the King It is also helpful to first discuss the connection of these verses with those of the verses 28:1-10 of the chapter, which the Authorized Version appears to be speaking of the "prince" of Tyre. Can this one be the same as the king of Tyre? The Authorized Version translates eleven Hebrew words by the word prince, so we must ask ourselves whether the understanding used here used is really the word prince. The Hebrew is ngid; some of the Authorized Version renderings are captain, chief, governor, leader, noble and ruler. The words appear to signify governor, or ruler. Use of the word governor reveals several interesting details. Saul was anointed to be governor over Israel (1 Sam.9:16) and was later proclaimed king at Mizpeh (1 Sam.10:17-27). David was also commanded by YHWH (Yahweh) to be
governor (1 Sam.13:14), and this resulted in his being king. It is also recorded of Solomon that he was governor and king (1 Chron.29:22). It is obvious that the word ngid names the governing function of the king, and consequently both king and governor may refer to the same man. There are a number of other interesting instances, but these will be sufficient to show that the governor/ruler of Tyre is most likely also the king of Tyre, merely differentiated in the poetic quality of Ezekiel to emphasize another angle and reason for his overthrow. Neither the arrogance, nor the wisdom of the governor of Tyre preserved him. Nor did the luxury and his apparent flawlessness protect him as the king. The governor/ruler of Tyre was a man, and the king of Tyre is said to be known among the peoples, and he become ash on the ground for all to see. Such distinctions completely remove the king from consideration, as anything other than a man, and at the same time tends to confirm the fact, that the governor/ruler and king in this passage are one and the same man. Other details around the king indicate the eminence he had, and also lifts the curtain to reveal the position YHWH (Yahweh) had given him in relation to the supreme and effective agencies by which the globe is governed under YHWH (Yahweh)'s complete rule. The dirge against the king of Tyre opens with a terse description: You were once a seal-print [exemplar] of perfection, full of wisdom, perfect in beauty. This epitomizes the glory the king had, for the king's sagacity was such that YHWH (Yahweh) provided him with a guardian, (covering) cherub. The model is further explained in verse fifteen, as the king's ways were blameless until iniquity came. The ancient splendor of the city of Tyre can be judged by its ruins, and these agree with the glory here ascribed to the king, who is also its governor/ruler. In Luxury, not Eden The change from the Authorized Version rendering of "Thou hast been in Eden, the garden of God" calls for a remark. The suggested presence in Eden of the Tyrian king has lead to a lot of confusion, and has formulated whole doctrines. Our version tried to treat the Hebrew word odn as a proper noun, a name, but this did not give a sense fully agreeable to the surrounding context, besides creating other difficulties. If we research the LXX in regard to this passage, and translate from the Greek, the confusion is eliminated, and we can then reach a sense fully pertinent to the drift of the passage, and solve the problem with regard to Eden. At the same time we realize that the words "a paradise from Elohim" are not a repetition of what would be meant by luxury, but are, in fact, required to complete the statement: 28:13 "You come into luxury, a paradise from Elohim." The wisdom of the king corresponds with that of a governor/ruler, but NOT as wise as Daniel. Was it possible to hide a secret from the governor/ruler, a man? Yes. His understanding seemed merely to afford the acquisition of immense riches and treasures. This banished the flawlessness from the king's ways, and the real inwardness of the heart was then apparent. He revolted against YHWH (Yahweh) and showed ignorance and lack of realization that all the luxury and splendor of his position was actually due to YHWH (Yahweh)'s economy, rather than to his "manly" ability and prowess. Two aspects of the same matter The separation of YHWH (Yahweh)'s messages, first under the titles of "governor/ruler of Tyre" and second under "king of Tyre" is to show plainly that the normal course of events is not divorced from YHWH (Yahweh)'s administration. To the governor/ruler it is shown that YHWH (Yahweh) is watching and ordering the rise and fall of Tyre. To the king the more intimate connection of YHWH (Yahweh) to his position is revealed, by the provision of a guardian cherub. This declares to the king something, which his wisdom failed to understand. He did not perceive the fact, that YHWH (Yahweh) had set him to rule and to maintain order in his section of the globe, and that he, in his YHWH (Yahweh)-given kingly governing
ruling capacity, was an agent of YHWH (Yahweh) for the good of his people, and, as such, was to restrain evil, not promote it. Not the Cherub There is an infelicity in the Authorized Version rendering of "Thou art the anointed cherub," and it is very important that we make the correction and adjustment, for it controls the sense. The italics of the Authorized Version are supplied words, and, if correct, are admissible. However, the Hebrew word ath may be either the pronoun you or indicate the object of the verb. Since ath as a pronoun, without the pointing, is the feminine form, and the words king and cherub are masculine, the rendering as a pronoun must be ruled out, and so we are not required to supply the substantive verb "art." This gives us ath krub, which must be accusative rather than nominative. We find confirmation of this when we understand that the Authorized Version rendering "and I have set thee" is without an object as indicated by the supplied "so." So we render; I had provided you with a guardian cherub. The misunderstanding that the king of Tyre was the "so called anointed cherub" is this way resolved into a matter which reveals YHWH (Yahweh)'s effective government over the globe, and, if we follow this indication, we will receive an insight into the fact that YHWH (Yahweh) rules supreme over creation's affairs. This requires us to consider the 'cherubim' in order to obtain a fuller understanding of their function in the universe and on the globe. The Cherub destroys the King Before taking up the cherubim, we will first discuss another inapt rendering, in verse sixteen, which reads this way in the Authorized Version: "and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub." The details of the employment and activities of the cherubim ought to cause us to question the Authorized Version rendering that a cherub should be required to be destroyed; that a man should be termed a cherub is out of keeping with the scriptural references to these creatures. Their connection with judgment suggests that the action must be by the cherub rather than against it. And, this agrees with the result of our examination of the prior verse fourteen, from which we saw that the covering of the king of Tyre was associated with the cherub's guardianship. The solution of the problem concerning the verb destroy, abd, lies in the fact that, divested of the pointings, it may be either first or third person, and since considerations point out that the king of Tyre was not the cherub, then it is fully agreeable to decide that it must be third person, and should be rendered: "and the guardian cherub banished [or destroyed] you..." These changes bring the references to the cherub into line with all the other cases in the Scriptures, for Cherubs are employed to check the powers of evil and keep them within YHWH (Yahweh)'s requirements. Tyre within the bounds of the Set-apart (Holy) Holy Mount Our translation of the statement, that the king of Tyre comes to be in the setapart mountain of YHWH (Yahweh) seems to require an understanding in reference to the land of Israel. We must first note that the preposition should be "in" as we have rendered it, not "upon" as rendered in the Authorized Version. This is in keeping with the geographical situation of Tyre. Israel is YHWH (Yahweh)'s setapart mount (Ezek.20: 40), and its land was apparently looked upon as such also. The city of Jerusalem is also spoken of as YHWH (Yahweh)'s set-apart mount (Dan.9: 16, 20), while Daniel 11:45 seems to require the whole land to be considered this way. YHWH (Yahweh)'s kingdom will also be His set-apart mount (Isa.11: 9). This understanding makes the statement normal. We also understand that Tyre held a
place in relation to YHWH (Yahweh)'s ordering of His kingdom for Israel. The nations around had their function and purpose in YHWH (Yahweh)'s government, but, like Israel, they over stepped and violated their assigned positions and duties, and YHWH (Yahweh) restrained them according to His counsel, and controls those operating according to His fiat. The King associated with the Cherub That the king of Tyre walked among the stones that flashed with fire tells us in figure of speech, that in his ruling capacity, he was associated with the guardian cherub, who was really the one charged with control in the initial stage. This may be deduced from the mention of fire in the details of the cherub vision seen in Ezekiel 1: 4,13,27; 8: 2; 10: 6,7. The fire in the visions was used to judge Jerusalem. And, when saying that the king of Tyre walked proudly among the stones that flashed with fire, seems to signify that it was his duty to judge by reason of the authority invested through the guardian cherub. Probably the precious gems enumerated in verses thirteen are the stones that flashed with fire; they were the covering emblems of the dignity of the king Having discussed the errors concerning the king of Tyre, it is now important to briefly consider the cherubim, especially as it has become apparent that the king of Tyre was not a cherub. In the course of our examination, hints have been made which really shed light on these beings, and it is hoped that these hints and observations have prepared the ground for a fuller understanding of their reality and position in the Scriptures. If so, then we have a reason to be thankful to YHWH (Yahweh) that His Word instructs rather than perplexes. The vision of Ezekiel In Ezekiel the cherubim are perhaps more prominent than in any other section of the Scriptures. No doubt there is a good reason for this. Are we able to discover it? If so, it will help our understanding. This prophet is very concerned with the evil in Israel, and with its restraint. The series of visions and their accompanying messages result in the judging and deposing of Israel from the position, which YHWH (Yahweh) had given to them. Throughout the book the title Adonai, that is, Adjudicator, is associated with the title YHWH (Yahweh). The nations around Israel are also dealt with; their expressed pleasure at Israel's plight is an affront to YHWH (Yahweh). The nations do not understand that they are assigned their positions in relation to Israel, and so they must also learn through the glory, majesty and judgment of YHWH (Yahweh). YHWH (Yahweh)'s Presence orders events The reason for the controlling movements in the visions being around the cherubim seems to emphasize that YHWH (Yahweh)'s presence is peculiarly apparent in the upheaval of Israel and the nations. They are not haphazard movements, but YHWH (Yahweh) is, through the cherubim, restraining the existing evil and ordering the future, which will realize His will, and complete His plan. The presence of the cherubim indicates coming judgment. In Ezekiel they are beneath the throne, while in the Unveiling (Revelation), they are incorporated into the throne. The first mention of them in Genesis 3:24 employs them to guard the way to the tree of life, and in the holy of holies, guardians [overshadowing] the lid of the ark containing the law, we see their zeal and concern for YHWH (Yahweh)'s law. In the tabernacle and temple these beings are very much in evidence, being almost a center of the service, possibly reminding of the divine presence there, and the importance of the law and worship. In visions, YHWH (Yahweh)'s presence seems to be indicated by the cherubim. Hezekiah realized this when he spread the king of Assyria's letter before YHWH (Yahweh) in YHWH (Yahweh)'s house, praying to Him who dwells between the cherubim, recognizing Him as the Elohim of all the kingdoms of the earth (2 Kings 19:15). YHWH (Yahweh)
responds to Hezekiah's prayer, and Sennacherib was restrained. YHWH (Yahweh)'s Governmental Agents It would seem that the cherubim along with the adversaries are the prime agents in YHWH (Yahweh)'s government of the globe. YHWH (Yahweh) has supreme and effective control of it, which is carried out by manifold agencies, those which promote evil, and those which check evil. We see only the instrumental aspect, as when one nation over throws another, and the Scriptures reveal the evil to be of YHWH (Yahweh). When we read about the cherubim in visions, we see YHWH (Yahweh)'s throne in operation, and the cherubim take part in His government. They are related to the authority of YHWH (Yahweh) as displayed in directing the affairs of the globe, and, because of the way which global matters take, this directing often results in judgment. The cherubim in this way are employed to check the powers of evil, for they are divinely constituted delegates of the globe, over and above man. The cherubim forward essential good and frustrate the adversaries. Like the adversaries they are always subservient to the fiat of YHWH (Yahweh). If the cherubim and adversaries are means of YHWH (Yahweh)'s ministry of this globes affairs, then men like the king of Tyre are but their remote agents. Like the adversaries, the cherubim, are executives of YHWH (Yahweh)'s rule, and should be distinguished from the emblems used to represent them. They have flexibility in details of form, which doubtless corresponds to the particular requirements of the vision. When seen in vision they seem especially able to depict the glory of YHWH (Yahweh)'s throne as it threatens judgment, or other evils. Significance of the Word Cherub The derivation of the word cherub is very interesting, especially with regard to their being representative. It is a compound word in the Hebrew of two parts, k signifies as and rub meaning many, so "as-many", or, (made a little more English), "like-many." In figure they are the likeness of many earthly things and deal with the dominion, which is in the hands of man over sentient creatures, animal and human, populating the globe. They seek the good of the living, and are themselves also spoken of under the general title of "Living Ones." Cherubim Check Evil From our considerations and study here, it should become obvious that not only is the king of Tyre not a cherub, but also that the cherub cannot be an Adversary or Satan. The function and employment of the cherubim are opposite to that of the 'Adversary(s)' or the being called Satan. Adversaries deceive nations and promote evil, but cherubim check and restrain the powers of adversaries and evil. Yet all is in accordance within the will of the Master YHWH (Yahweh).
