The Timothy Findley Creative Writing Prize

The Timothy Findley Creative Writing Prize Created in honour of Timothy Findley and awarded annually, the Timothy Findley Creative Writing Prize recognizes creative writing of special merit by an undergraduate Trent student.

In the spirit of Findley's own diverse output, submissions may include fiction, poetry, drama, or creative non-fiction which has not previously been published. Manuscripts of no more than twenty (20) pages must be submitted to the English Department office, Wallis Hall, Traill College by the deadline, 4:00 p.m., Friday April 24. Provide a cover page with your name and summer address, but do not identify yourself on the manuscript itself. Those who submit material for consideration must have been registered in at least one Trent course during the 2008-2009 academic session. (Students also making submissions for the Page Irwin Prize are advised that they may not use any of the same material in both submissions.) Submissions will be adjudicated by a committee of three, two from the university and one from the community. Announcement of the winner will be made in early September, 2009.
