COOKIE DOUGH SALES ST. JOHN’S CONFIRMATION ON SUNDAY St. John’s confirmands attending St. Paul’s school are Samantha Fischer, Samuel Dose, Abigail Koelpin, Carl Boeder, and Rachael Kuck. These young people have had thorough instruction in God’s Word and have demonstrated their understanding of the chief doctrines of the Christian faith. Now they will publicly confess their faith and express their desire to become a communicant member of their church. May God bless them and give them strength to remain faithful to His Word all of their lives.

Thanks to all who participated in the cookie dough sale. The school netted about $7,000 and the Board of Child Discipleship has authorized the use of this money for the purchase of two Smart Boards and related equipment. These boards will be installed in Mrs. Grunwald’s and Mrs. Wendler’s classrooms this summer. Both of these teachers have completed Smart Board training at Martin Luther College.

TUCK POINTING

CAMP SHETEK

St. Paul’s is in the midst of a $20,000 fundraiser for tuck pointing that must be done at the school. Any cash donation is accepted, but bricks are being sold at the church at the weekend services for $150 each. See the display in the new narthex! About $4,000 has been gathered to date. Some families have gone together to purchase a brick; some people have purchased more than one brick. Thrivent supplemental funds may also be used for this project. Whatever works for you will work for the fund drive. We need to get the job done and your help would be appreciated.

For many years the WELS has offered a one week Bible Camp experience at Lake Shetek State Park's Group Campground!(South of Tracy, MN)!for boys and girls who have completed 4th grade through 8th grade.!! The names of sixteen books of the Bible are hidden in the text below. Can you find them? Eight of them are parts of two or more words. I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu. Kept people looking so hard for facts and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized. But the truth finally struck home to numbers of readers. To others, it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. One little lady says she brews a cup of tea, so she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete. Relax now for there are really sixteen names of books of the Bible in this story.
