IN HIS STEPS by Pastor Tim Smith "All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD." (Proverbs 1d:2, NIV) ! When we look at each other, we can see clothes, eyes, hair, how tall or short we are, and even whether we are happy or sad. But we can't see what's in each other's hearts. My motive--the reason I do something-might be different than yours, even though we do exactly the same thing. On the outside, the things look the same. But God sees the difference. May God guide our steps--and our motives--today and always. If you’re thinking Christmas shopping you might want to take a look at what they have available. Orders need to be in by next Monday, November 17. THANKS TO CONCORDIA LANES Mr. Dean Torvick, owner of Concordia Bowling Lanes and a member of St. Paul’s, has sent us a check for $108.00 for our participation in the summer bowling program using Student Pass Cards that were distributed last spring. SERTOMA CLUB REQUEST New Ulm’s Service to Mankind’s Club invites your participation in their Santa’s Closet program for families with financial difficulties. You can participate by donating a gift. The retail cost should be somewhere from $12.00 to $29.00 and should not be an army type toy, gun, or other weapons. Toys are for children ages <0 to 14 and distribution will be on December 13. Call Lisa Peterson at 3548589 for information as to where to drop off your gift.
FINE ARTS ALIVE AND WELL AT ST. PAUL’S! SINGING IN CHURCH Mr. Jim Dretske, Director
St. John’s students in grades 5 to 8 will sing in in church at the 11:00 a.m. service this coming Sunday, November 16th. There was a rumor going around that they would not , be singing, so please note that this is not the case. St. Paul’s Jr. Choir will NOT be singing this Sunday. FORENSICS NIGHT
Mrs. Jill Morgan, Supervisor You are cordially invited to attend our Forensics Night program in St. Paul’s Parish Center fellowship hall on Monday evening, November 17. Presentations begin at 6:00 p.m. and will run until about 7:00. Thirty-two students in grades 5 to 8 will be making presentations. Come for all of them or stay for just a few. Either way, you will be impressed as to how well these students can tell their stories or do interpretive readings. BAND CONCERT
Mr. Brent Nolte, Director The fall band concert will be held in the gym on Thursday, November 20, beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to a great evening of band music featuring our Raider Band, Jazz Band and Junior Band.
