“The Muslim Jesus is honoured both in this World and in the Hereafter

Ladies and Gentlemen, do you want to find out about how other faiths view Jesus. In particular, what the Quran and Prophet Mohammad’s Hadiths have to say about Him, his Mother Mary, his Cousin John the Baptist (known to Muslims as Yahya) and his disciples….!!!

Salient Features about Jesus in Islam………

There are 154 verses of the Quran which talk about Jesus either by his name or by his title the Messiah, and, there are a number of Hadiths about him from Prophet Mohammad who has given detailed description of Jesus’ Second Coming. The Quran describes the Miracles of the Immaculate Conception and his birth, and has a Chapter dedicated to Mary. The Quran talks about how Jesus spoke when just a babe from his cradle. The Quran also mentions other Miracles that Jesus performed like healing the blind and the lepers and breathing life into birds of clay. John the Baptist (Yahya) and Jesus’ disciples are also mentioned in the Quran.

Other Major Prophets of Islam……. •

Abraham –is known as “Friend of Allah” and as “Hanif” (the upright one) in the Quran.



He and his son Ishmael raised the foundation of Kaaba towards which Muslims from all over the world face when praying.



Muslims trace the foot steps of Hagar as part of the rites of the pilgrimage of Hajj.



NOAH – the construction of the Ark and the Floods are described in the Quran.



Moses – Allah spoke directly to Moses says the Quran, and, it describes Moses and Aaron (Haroon) as two of the Believing Servants of Allah.



Solomon - The Quran talks about a letter that Suleiman wrote to the Queen of Sheba inviting her to embrace Islam. It also talks about his Command over Genies and his ability to communicate with animals, birds and insects.



Other Prophets also get a mention in the Quran.

Speakers Profile On the specific subject of “The Muslim Jesus”, Saeed AbdulRahim has spoken at the St. James Church in Piccadilly and an Article on the subject by him was adapted and published by a Christian Magazine in Canada. An independent Educator, he has been speaking on Muslim and Islamic Subjects for over 5 years explaining Islam’s true teachings, its beliefs and practices. He has spoken on Television, to Press & Radio and to Inter-faith audiences, through interviews, seminars, talks and speeches. He has addressed gatherings at Churches and Cathedrals; He has also given training seminars to staff of Government Departments. A former member of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Reference Group on Muslim – Christian Dialogue he has participated in the Listening Exercise which lead to the formation of the Christian Muslim Forum. He has also participated in organizing a seminar on a on the concept of citizenship in the Christian and Muslim faiths. He is a convenor of his local Muslim-Christian Dialogue group and is an active Promoter of Inter-Faith dialogue and understanding. He is also a keen Promoter of Renewable Energy Sources and Environment issues at the Mosques and Churches. Speaking Experience: He has spoken at Lancaster, Southwark, and Peterborough Cathedrals, and at St. James Church-Piccadilly where he has spoken on the subject of “Shari’ah-What it is and what it is not.” He has also spoken at the AGM of Monastic Interfaith Dialogue with Monks and Nuns. He has also given a presentation on Television about Islam & Sports marking the opening of the Manchester Games which was broadcast as part of the programme My Favourite Hymns. He has also spoken in the presence of an H.R.H. he has also given presentations at the London School of Theology and at the Sion Centre.
