The Power of Chakras: Within each chakra there is a series of power signatures that creates the vortex center of the chakra. These signatures are; the Bindu, the Nada power, the main Chakra Bija, the Petals (or seed mantras), the tattvic rays, the five bhutas, the Mandala (shape power of the chakra), a portal to the major realms of existence, five major pranas, the Nadis, Kundalini power, the Devic Goddess, the Presiding Deity (Deva forces), kundalini Sound Vibration, the mind energies (manas), Gunas (Tamas, Rajas & Sattvic), the Esoteric & Exoteric Colors of the Chakras and the Granthi Knots (the conversion power of the maha-bindus). Bindu – a divine spiritual germ from God. Nada – a supreme sound vibration that give motion and shape to life. Chakra Bijas – The main sound vibration of that chakra that regulates the massive flow of prana and frequencies of mind substance. Chakra Petals – are seed mantras or sound vibrations of that chakra. The original samskaras of auric body, the petals are the entry & exit points of the nadi, Tattvic Rays – is subtle solar rays and solar substance that’s condition by the mahabindus of Earth, Sun and moon. Maha-Bhutas – the etheric cosmic elements of the universe, the subtle building block. Five Major Pranas – Each chakra has a subtle flow of energies that has centralized its main operation there in order to balance the other pranas & mind substance.
Chakra Mandalas – The shape power signatures of the particular chakras. Loka (Realms) – The chakras are actual portals the subtle realms of existence. Each chakra is a doorway to several dozen or more realms related to that energy and mental configuration. Kundalini – The dormant subtle shakti power located at the base-of-the-spine chakra and spread throughout the body as mental and vital life force disguise as consciousness.

The Auric Body: This subtle body is the first manifested body of the Soul. This auric body is the subtle unit that is indestructible, it carries the intelligence throughout the countless incarnations until the Soul reaches its highest peak of evolution. The Bindu: The Supreme Point Consciousness (the Spiritual Germ of Divinity) Within each of the major Chakras along the spinal column there’s a Point of Access to Divine Knowledge called the Bindu a point of consciousness to the all knowledge space. This Bindu is known as the a spiritual drop or germ from Absolute (God). The Bindu is considered to be a point of supreme consciousness that’s accessed when the chakras are fully activated with the full raise of kundalini. The Yogi student is taught to gain control over the dormant power of kundalini through various techniques of yoga that teaches them to concentrate, contemplate and eventually true meditation where the yogi fully activates this dormant power of kundalini and pull it to every chakra to gain access to the supreme consciousness of the Bindu where the Soul is bathed in the Light of the Spirit. Kundalini: A concentrate dormant power of Shakti at the base of spine chakra (muladhara chakra), which is used by the Soul as A vehicle of consciousness on several realms of existence. It is this power that gives produce consciousness and vitality to animate the subtle bodies and physical body. It is this Stored Power of kundalini when fully controlled and activated can Access the Bindu.

In the subtle human structure there are five major pranas that have a distinct flow and pattern of operation. These pranas travel through the nadi system which are 242,000 lines of force charged with positive and negative energies that are distributed throughout the subtle bodies giving life and consciousness to all levels and parts of subtle bodies and gross body. The following are a brief directional flow of the major pranas and its operations. 1 Prana: This is the first aspect of prana the vital life force of the body. This aspect of prana travels down from the head level to the solar plexus region. This is consider to be the forward breath or the inhalation. It brings in the fuel.
4
2 Apana: The second prana is Apana the aspect of prana that travels from the anus
area (base of the spine chakra) up to the Solar Plexus Chakra. This Apana Prana is consider to the Out-breath (exhalation). It functions below the chest moving from the base chakra through the sex chakra up to the solar plexus chakra and back down to the base chakra area..

3 Samana: This flow of prana is located in the Solar Plexus region, which is the 2

digestion and assimilation of gross energies. The Samana prana has a equalizing quality to it. It converts fuel into energy. Prana and Apana meet together near the navel creating the conditions to produce or release the aspect of Samana prana. It helps to regulate the interchange of these two forces at their meeting-place, equalizes them and is the most important agent in maintaining the equilibrium of the vital forces and their functions. This is the balancing breath.
4 Udana: This forth flow of prana is located at the throat area and travels through the 4 Udana-(Throat, Head, Arms & Legs) Prana Samana Apana Vyana-(Pervades the whole body)

head, arms and legs. This forth aspect of the major pranas is called Udana it is the positive pranic flow that allows man to speak and manifest consciousness through intelligent moving of head, arms and legs. It governs the positive energy created to work the body machine called the physical body.
5 Vyana: This prana is the fifth major aspect of prana. It flows throughout the whole body. It regulates both the Prana and the Apana and keeps them in harmony. This is considered to be the power behind the continuous breath of man. It sustains prana when the main flow of prana is held in abeyance as in actions requiring extreme effort. It is all-pervasive within the subtle bodies and gross body it distributes these vital energies throughout the body.

When man as purified the Nadi pathways that carry the Prana and Apana energies a balancing of these pranic force is karmically allowed then the combined force activates the Manipura chakra and accentuates the powers of this Chakra giving man the ability to operate on higher levels of consciousness. In the practice of Pranayama one of the main goals is to balance these two major pranas through the control of rhythmic breathing which encompasses an even flow of inhalation and exhalation of breath and measured retention of breath with the incorporation of concentration and visualization. The control of Prana and Apana help’s to gain control over the other three major pranas which are; Samana, Udana and Vyana. Samana is a major prana that is mainly concentrated in the navel area. The Udana major prana is concentrated in the throat area and travels through the head, arms and legs. The Vyana major prana is located in the sex chakra and travels throughout the entire body.

Out of the Shakti Principles came the Mahabhutas. These Shakti principles move forward and created five distinct sounds vibrations that wrap themselves in the Shakti power and is called the Maha-Bhutas. The Maha Bhutas is subtle universal cosmic energies or Shakti power that expresses those infinite universal subtle elements which is described as follows; 1) Akasha, 2) Vayu, 3) Agni, 4) Apas and 5) Prithivi. They are the subtle modes of vibrations within the cosmos.

In the practice of mudra yoga the whole body, mind and soul is used in the technique. The fingers, hands and arms positions are the main focus of mudra yoga. The head, legs, breath and right mental visualization are also used in the mudra yoga. The reason why the main focus is placed on the fingers, hands and arms position is that the hands are link to at least five of the major chakras along the spinal column. Each finger is not only link to the chakras but the flow of the five major pranas. The fingers and hands also represents the elements of the earth. During the actual technique of the mudras the arms are used to align the finger and hands with the flow of pranas and the mental projections emerging from the major chakras along the spinal column. The following table shows the fingers relationships to the Psychic centers, Elements, Tattvic Pranic States, the five major pranas and the associated chakras with each particular finger.

This Sanskrit word “Jnana” means wisdom or knowledge, it denotes the wisdom of a subject, place or object. Within everything there’s a “Sattvic lining or a level of pure consciousness that holds the wisdom of that thing. Jnana Yoga is union with God through wisdom. The Sanskrit word Karma means “action”; and all actions represents the framework of divine laws that operates as the pressures of creation that reacts to all moving. It (karma) is the pressure that pushes all things towards conformity. Karma yoga is union with God through actions. Bhakti in Sanskrit means “devotion”. The right knowledge or wisdom will lead you to the right karmic actions, those right karmic actions will include “devotion to the God in everything and everyone. Bhakti yoga is union with God through devotion to God throughout all life. Prana means subtle cosmic energies, yama means control. The sanskrit word pranayama means the control of subtle cosmic energies. On the physical level the breath is used for the control of prana, on the mental level directed thought through visualization is used to control prana. Visualization is concentrated thought formations which aligns pranic and mental particles charged with a direction and purpose. The right knowledge (Jnana) with the right actions (Karma) and the right intent (Bhakti devotion to a cause) with the control of directed prana becomes the key to making the mudra technique work.
Adhi Mudra
Abhaya Mudra
This mudra is called “Adhi Mudra” or the mudra that triggers the kundalini power. This mudra also provides strength and stability to the Skeletal System. You can stand or sit while doing this mudra. It is used in the pranayama when visualizing the raise of kundalini.
Shunya Mudra
This mudra is called “Abhaya Mudra” or the mudra that radiates a huge amounts of cosmic energies on several planes of existence when used properly. This mudra creates a free flow of pranas through the chakras of the hands which is connected to at least five chakras alone the spinal column through the subtle lines-of-force called the Nadis. Vayu mudra
Jnana Mudra
This mudra is called “Jnana Mudra”, and is known by many other names such as; Gyan mudra, Om mudra and many other names. It is used to help calm the mental auric bodies down and center the mind. This mudra is used in various development practices to assist the student in gaining control over its basic faculties through concentration techniques. It seals the outer layers the mental auric fields allowing the student to develop the ability channel his or her thought down one direction. This mudra is used in dynamic forms of mantra chanting.
Prana mudra
The Shunya Mudra, is the sealing and redirection of Tejas power. The middle finger is the longest finger and it represents the fire and its connected to the Solar Plexus chakra the central location of all the pranas. The main flow prana here is ‘Samana”.
The Vayu mudra, most book get this wrong the four finger holds the element power of Air and is connected to the Heart Chakra via the Nadis. The thumb represents the gross element of Earth and pranic flow of “apana” This mudra assist with the inhale and exhale and the distribution of prana and apana energies.
This mudra is called “Prana Mudra”. The two finger held together with thumb in this drawing represents ether, air and earth. The three make a pull on prana ether is the subtle aspect of prana, air is the median aspect of prana and the earth is the gross-solid physical aspect of prana. This mudra gives control over the prana within the body.

The Base Chakra
Etheric Functions This portion of the sub-conscious mind handles the subtle mental and vital energies that builds and regulates the vehicles of consciousness. Astral Functions At this level the sub-conscious mind handles the subtle/astral physical vehicles of expression for the consciousness. The samskara bits of energy that are formulated from thoughts and actions are regulated by the sub-conscious mind. Physical Functions At this level the sub-conscious mind handles all mental and physical functions involuntary and voluntary. It operates strictly to the divine laws of karma molding and regulating the energies
Conscious Mind
The Navel Chakra
The Sex Chakra
The Base Chakra
Etheric Conscious Mind The original valance level of the mental body. It’s the level of the mental body where chakras projects the thought forms. It’s the aspect of where the basic sensory perception is utilized to perceived the outside world.
Astral Conscious Mind An astral shell that drapes over the etheric bodies which causes mental distortion within the mental bodies becoming the new valance level, the vrittis of the mental body. This amplifies the limitations of the maya which seem in the mental and physical perception of the internal & external world of man.
Physical Conscious Mind The part of man’s consciousness that operates on the physical realm perceiving the world from sensory organs form from the gross basic energy formation of astral and physical matter

This Sushumna nadic flow of energy carries a Shakti quality of the preservational forces of all cosmic energies. The Sushumna nadic line of force holds consciousness in manifestation on several planes (Lokas) of existence and allows man to gain countless lifetimes’ of valuable experience. It is said that the Sushumna Nadi has three inner channels that seem to compress all the qualities of Shakti force of the Nadic and chakra system into one minute channel that pushes upward and forward, opening the major chakras and giving tremendous power over the cosmic energies and mind energies, placing man’s conscious awareness on a supraconscious level.
The first layer of the nadic vibrations within the Sushumna Nadi is called Vajra Nadi, a conduit inside the central channel that extends from the genital region to the head region. The Vajra is described as a hard substance like diamonds—hard but lustrous with the light and power of thunderbolts. It is said that this layer of Sushumna nadis, the “Vajra Nadi,” is the place where the sexual energy (Ojas) connects with the brain. Ojas is the highest form of base physical, manifested energy in the human body, which is a concentrated form of semen. The Chritra Nadi is Sattvic quality within the Sushumna Nadi it possesses sattvic qualities of pure Shakti force. The Chritra Nadi sattvic qualities of pure Shakti force of the 3 Maha-Bindus. ; 1. Fire (Agni), 2. Sun (Surya), and 3. Moon (Chandra), at its highest equilibrium level. Within the Chritra Nadi is the Brahma Nadi, where the pure cosmic energy of evolution flows as the power of “kundalini.” It is the kundalini power that travels through the Brahma Nadi, where all major chakra resides.
