The Indian Express July 26th 2more suspects handed over to ATS The anti terrorist squad of the state police on Tuesday night arrested two more persons in connection with the serial blasts of July 11. The duo Sohail Abdul Ghani Shiekh and Zamir Ahmed Latif Chaabiwala, were detained by crime branch of the Mumbai police for questioning late last week. According to ATS officials Zamir a resident of Worli junction and a commerce graduate who worked in an office at Bombay central, has no previous crime record. Sohail who works a rafu tailor and who lately is been doing odd-jobs in Pune has connections with Simi ATS officials said that they were part of a five member dangerous lashkar-e-toiba module busted by unit II of the crime branch The investigations have revealed that the duo had been sent to Pakistan in March-April 2005. they visited Tehran using the same modus operandi of pilgrimage visas as used by dr. Tanvir Ansari –he was handed to the ATS by the crime branch on Monday –and a few other LeT operatives arrested recently by the ATS Both were trained in Pakistan at camps like Muzzafarabad and Bahavalpur. Both received training in small weapons, AK-47, assault riffles, grenade throwing and explosives. In Pakistan the duo were trained by Azam Chima a top LeT commander in charge of out fit recruitment and training The duo were asked to get information on young boys in Mumbai for jehadi activities . they were also asked for information on entry and exit points in Mumbai .the common link between Ansari, Sohail and Zamir is Faizal who sent them to Pakistan . the crime branch has detained him and will hand it over to ATS soon
