[email protected] ABSTRACT The most common method for disposing solid waste is land filling. However, this method becomes unpopular due to its huge negative environmental impact. On the other hand, the disposing waste can be explored through briquette making processes as alternative fuel. The stuff of briquette is from organic waste (rubbish). Dry organic waste is crushed and pressed to become briquette. Then briquette is dried under sunshine. Making rubbish briquette is relative easy because its stuff is available abundantly and cheaper. The result of the research shows that briquette from food rubbish has the highest energy then that of others. The heating value of rubbish briquette is 4946.17 calorie. Leaf briquette contains energy of 4405.53 calorie and paper briquette has energy of 3510.83 calorie. The briquette from mixing of food, leaf and paper has energy of 4834.61 calorie.
