OBJECTIVE: explain the meaning of greenhouse effect.

Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere behave like a glass panes which trap the heat&warm the greenhouse. That why it know as the GREENHOUSE EFFECT.



METHANE is produce from the activities of bacteria in paddy fields, alimentary guts of ruminants, decomposition of organic waste in landfills and leaks from gas pipes and fossil fuel.



The ozone layer is region in the stratosphere between 20&25 kilometer above the earth. Its consist of highly ozone gas(O) that absorb ultraviolet(UV) radiation from damaging effect.



This problem has been recorded since 1970s. In1985, it was reported that the stratospheric ozone over the ANTARTICA had been decline by 40% since 1977.



It is contain of carbon, chlorine& fluorine. CFC’s used as coolant in the air-conditioner & refrigerator. CFC is very stable that why it can remain in the air as long as 75 to 100 years.
