Fall is here, Club members, and as the foliage turns to reds, oranges, and browns, members should be inspired to get a color gauge to analyze their stamps. Congrats to both club dealers and members who combined to make our Club Show in Ryerss Mansion a success. Look forward to another club show in the Spring!! Be there or get air!!!!!! MEETING****************************************************************

The Next meeting will be held September 26 1:30 pm-3: 00 PM, at the beautiful Library of the Ryerss Museum, 7370 Central Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although most of our members avail themselves of vehicular access to the meetings, it is also easy to access by public Transportation ( Septa) Bus Route 24, 70, 77 and R8 train at “Ryers” station in inclement weather. Favorite Stamp column!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In August, in honor of the first Anniversary of our Club, Stuart (President) gave a repeat lecture on the correspondences of the Waln/Ryerss Family related to the China Trade. Stuart tries to educate the members and visitors about the close correlation between History and written correspondence that chronicles history in relationship to Philately. If you miss this lecture, it will be repeated in the near future. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAgenda For SEPTEMBER OF 2009 Meetingxxxxxxxxxxx  Bill Congagna (member and lover of history) will lecture fellow club members about various printing processes as they relate to stamp manufacture and subsequent stamp identification by collectors. This is one important lecture not to be missed!!! Also prior to Bill’s lecture, Stuart will give a brief review of stamp collecting basics, so everyone MUST BRING their FOLDERS. See you at the Club!!!!!!

//////////////////////////////////////////////////THE STAMP BUCKET NEWS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ The Stamp Bucket is one of the Greatest attractions for new and beginners members of our club. Seasoned collectors need to guide new collectors in harvesting these free stamps, to enhance their knowledge and guide them into new areas of philately to enjoy! Again, The Club would like to thank all members who have given to the bucket!!!! *Members who want to continue receiving this news letter, must remember there is no dues payment to be in this club; only you participation is counted as dues, so you need to attend at least 4 meeting a year, so as to continue to receive newsletters . We need knowledgeable Club members to help give lectures on Philatelic materials so our hobby can grow, so contact Burholme President Stuart Geisler at 215-722-2614 or visit our web at www.stuartstamps.com for more info.

$$$$$$$$$MONTHLY INVESTMENT TIPS$$$$$$$$

This month I strongly suggest investing in an excellent product, rather than a particular stamp. Nice stamps, which are fragile, should be kept in plastic mounts. This month I suggest purchasing an Album, new or used, of the hingeless variety, with the plastic mounts intrinsic to the album. You wouldn’t park a Rolls Royce in

a back alley, would you? You should park your NICE STAMPS in a “nice garage”, not on the “street”!! So get to ‘steppin’ and get a hingeless Album today!

BEGINNER CORNER?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I know this sounds overtlly evident, but all stamp collectors should NEVER consume beverages near their stamp collections. Even a Dealer with my experience has suffered mishaps with way- ward cups of coffee. Eating and drinking should be a seperate activity from philately!!!! If you want to know more come to the Club Meetings!!!!!
