Favorite Stamp column!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In September, Bill Congagna, assisted by new club member Ed Weisberg (who is a professional printer) gave a wonderfully lecture to our club on the printing processes, as they pertain to stamp manufacture. Bravo to these members; they did a fabulous presentation and we learn a lot about color mixings on paper. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Agenda For OCTOBER OF 2009 Meeting !!!!!!!!!!!! Anthony Montorano ( junior club member and boy scout) will give detail lecture with slide presentation on his favorite topic: dictators on stamps. We will also have other club members who will talk of their favorite topical collection. What topics do YOU collect; come and tell us. See you at the Club!!!!!!

//////////////////////////////////////////////////THE STAMP BUCKET NEWS\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Because our monthly topic is Topics, we encourage seasoned Collectors in the club to guide our young practitioners to find topical treasures in the Bucket. For those who were absent and received their projects, please work on them and bring to the meetings to keep up with your lessons and to ask questions and better to understand stamps. *Members who want to continue receiving this news letter, must remember there is no dues payment to be in this club; only you participation is counted as dues, so you need to attend at least 4 meeting a year, so as to continue to receive newsletters . We need knowledgeable Club members to help give lectures on Philatelic materials so our hobby can grow, so contact Burholme President Stuart Geisler at 215-722-2614 or visit our web at www.stuartstamps.com for more info.

$$$$$$$$$MONTHLY INVESTMENT TIPS $$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$ This month, in honor of Columbus, I recommend the Argentine Columbians, Scott # 90 and 91 issued concurrently with the more Famous American Columbians. At $50.00 mint hinged, they are a bargain . At $100.00 never hinged, they are a STEAL . This set is scarce. The editor owns them on an even rarer First Day Cover!!! So come to the Club to learn more about this stamp! BEGINNERS CORNER?????????????????????????????????????????????????? This is an excellent rule of thumb for overprinted stamps: if a stamp catalogues

more money without an overprint, it is probably, genuine. If the overprinted stamp catalogues more, Caveat Emptor (buyer beware)! I would get a certificate if I were you! Say what? You’er not coming to the Club? Why not? Don’t

be afraid, come and learn about history on stamps, its fun,Free and Educational bring the kids, bring a friend !!!!
