แฟชั่นโชว์: ซิไทญี่ วัฒนธรรมเปรียบเสมือนความเจริญงอกงามเเละความกลมกลียวของประเทศนั้นๆโดยทั่วทุกมุมโลก จะมีวัฒนธรรมการเเต่งกายที่เเตกต่างกันออกไป เช่น การเเต่งกายเเบบกรีกโรมัน, ชุดกิโมโนของญี่ปุ่น, เเละลายกนกของไทยพวกเราจึงเกิดความคิดที่จะรังสรรค์เเละผสมผสานรูปเเเบบการเเต่งกายของฝั่งตะวัน-ตก เเละตะวันออกเข้าด้วยกันจนเกิดเป็นเเนวคิดชุดไทยที่เราภาคภูมิใจ เเนวคิดของชุดนี้ได้แรงบันดาลใจ มาจากซุปเปอร์ฮีโร่หรือผู้กล้า ผู้ซึ่งเป็นตัวเเทนของความเเข็งเเกร่งเเละเสียสละ เเละที่สำคัญยังสามารถสื่อถึง เเนวคิด East Meet West ได้อีกด้วย มวยไทยเเละชุดซิโตนัสจึงถูกยกขึ้นมาเป็นต้นเเบบในการทำชุดรีไซเคิล มวยไทยเป็นศิลปะการป้องกันตัวประจำชาติไทยที่มีชื่อเสียงโด่งดังไปทั่วโลกการร่ายรำเเม่ไม้มวยไทย เป็นศิลปะที่มีทั้งความสวยงามเเละความคมคายของท่วงท่าที่เเฝงไปด้วยความเเเข็งเเกร่งนอกจากนี้ การเเต่งกายของมวยไทยถือเป็นเอกลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นอย่างหนึ่ง ส่วนของมวยไทยในชิ้นงานนี้ประกอบ ไปด้วยมงคลหรือส่วนหัวที่ทำมาหลอดชานมไข่มุกผ้าพันมือที่ใช้ผ้าพันเเผลมาทำเเละกางเกงมวยที่ถูกประดิษฐ์ ขึ้นจากถุงขนมกรุบกรอบในส่วนของลำตัวคณะผู้จัดทำได้นำตาข่ายกับหนังสือพิมพ์มาทำเปเปอร์มาเช่ เหตุผลที่เราใช้หนังสือพิมพ์เพราะว่ากระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์จะถูกส่งออกไปให้ผู้คนได้อ่านข่าวสารทุกวัน หนังสือพิมพ์จึงมีปริมาณเพิ่มขึ้นทุกวันจนเหลือเป็นขยะที่ยากจะกำจัดเราจึงนำเอาสิ่งของเหลือใช้เช่น กระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ ถุงขนม ฝาขวด ตาข่าย กระดาษปรู๊ฟ ถุงพลาสติกมาทำเป็น ชุดซิโตนัสหรือชุดประจำชาติของผู้หญิงกรีกที่เราเห็นมาในละครเทพเจ้ากรีกนอกจากนี้กระดาษหนังสือ-พิมพ์ ขาวดำฝาขวดเเก้วห่วงเเละเชือกที่เหลือยังถูกนำมาทำเสื้อคลุมเเละเครื่องประดับที่ได้รับเเรงบันดาลใจมาจากชุ ดกิโมโนของญี่ปุ่นโดยลายตรงขอบกระโปรงถูกเเกะสลักเป็นลายกนกของไทย สิ่งที่พวกเราได้เรียนรู้จากการทำงานนี้ คือ การทำงานเป็นทีมเเละรู้จักใช้ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในการ ประยุกต์และเพิ่มมูลค่าวัสดุเหลือใช้ให้กลายเป็นชุดผสมผสานระหว่างฝั่งตะวันออกเเละฝั่งตะวันตกของโลก ได้อย่างลงตัวอีกทั้งยังมีความสง่างามเเละสามารถสวมใส่เป็นชุดเสื้อผ้าได้จริงโดยพวกเราหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าชุด ของพวกเรานั้นจะสามารถสื่อถึงวัฒนธรรมการเเต่งกายของสองฝั่งโลกและความตั้งใจให้ทุกคนได้รับรู้ ผลงานชิ้นนี้ไม่เพียงเเต่เพิ่มคุณค่าให้กับเอกลักษณ์การเเต่งกาย เเต่ยังส่งเสริมให้ผู้คนตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของ สิ่งของวัสดุเหลือใช้อีกด้วย

Fashion Show: Sithaiyi Culture can represent civilization and unity of countries, which is different for every country. Each country has culture for their costume, or clothing for instance Greek and Roman costume, Japanese Kimonos, and Thai pattern (Lai Kanok). All of those costumes inspire us to create a combination of this East meets West superhero theme costume. We decided to use the super hero concept because it symbolize strength, sacrifice, and the costume also present East meet West idea. From reasons mentioned above we choose Muay Thai and Chiton which is ancient Greece costume to use as our inspiration for this Recycle costume. Muay Thai, or Thai Boxing, is a Thai traditional art of combat and self-defense, which is known popularly world-wide. Muay Thai does not consist only of combatant, but also elegance and finesse, which is hidden with strength. Furthermore, the costume (traditional wear) of Muay Thai is very unique; it composed of Mongkol (headband), boxing hand wraps, and Muay Thai pants. In this project, headband is made of big-sized straws. Hand wraps are made of gauze bandage, and the pants are made up of empty bags. We also added a touch of western costume by making a robe from Papier-mâché of a net and newspapers. The reason we used newspaper is because everyday newspaper is printing out and locate at every corners for people to read. That’s increasing the quantity of newspaper. Those amount of newspaper become trashes that difficult to destroy. As a result, we bring the remainings such as newspaper, candy packages, bottle caps, proof paper, and plastic bags to reuse for our costumes. Lastly, we learned many important lessons from this project. We learned to work in a team and learned to use our creativity and imagination to apply and raise the value of waste materials in order to create wonderful clothing, which is the combination of the East and the West. Furthermore, these costumes is elegant and it shows a perfect combination of the East and the West. The costumes can really be wore and we hope that our work will be able to communicate the culture of both sides of the world. Moreover, we hope that everyone sees our effort in this project. This piece of work not only make the appearance better, but it also makes people aware of the values of waste materials.
